I'd point at my television screen and shout MOTHERF%$#@&! LOL actually, i'd probably be really down for a while if that happened hopefully it'll be a justified death if that DOES happen though.....

I made a renegade shep on ps3 named Skeavus. chose ashley for li, then sent her to die on virmire. romanced jack, and didn't get the ship enhancement so that she would die during the sm. plan on doing the same with a li in me3. thought it would be interesting if they come up with dialogue that referenced these events, though i doubt it.

if liara died it would have to be an epic moment. i cant imagine losing a character so important to the franchise by a stray bullet to the face or a gettin stuck in a gas filled maintainence shaft

losing liara would probably color the rest of the game: early death? evil shepard kills everyone, no mercy. a mid range, act 2 departure would give shepard some hope. final act? stay the course, finish the mission

ive got 5 ps3 playthroughs and 3 or on xbox, and thats the only playthrough ive ever done it with. figured id try an a-hole.

My Renegade shepard will act like everything is fine, but alone she will embarrassingly let out her emotions. after 2 years of drinking and being more extra ****y than miranda and jack combine she had enough,and went on a suicide mission. With hope that she will see her leading blue lady again....At least thats what i think she'll do.

If Miri dies, and theres nothing you can do about it to prevent her death, BioWare would be dead to me.

Miri is MY ONE AND ONLY LI in ALL OF MASS EFFECT!!!! I would be heartbroken for a long time. I was told that I would be rewarded, not suffer.

"Here lies Tali' Zorah Shepard vas Normandy, who gave her life defending all life in the galaxy."

Then Shepard would watch the sunset, look at her grave one last time, and leave, and in the background see the beginning of a quarian city in the making.

how did you come up with that im a little scarred but that would be a good way for the game to go

I guess I'll take that as a compliment. I hope my death scene doesn't happen, as Tali is one of my favorite characters (and my preferred LI in ME2).

Probably be secluded for a month, start drinking for another 5 months while losing myself in my job, then gradually start to go out and meet new people. Pretty much what I would do irl. After the galaxy is saved, of course. Suicide's just not my thing, and definitely not what Liara would want for me.

My male Vanguard romanced Liara. He'll be devastated if she dies, but he'll soldier on. Vanguard on. Whatever.

My female Adept also romanced Liara. She too will face loss bravely.

My male Sentinel is gay and therefore hasn't romanced anyone yet. If he finds love and loses it, he'll just retreat further into his shell.

My female Engineer romanced Kaidan. If he dies, she'll be sad, but she's too cerebral to really lose her sh¡t.

My male Infiltrator romanced Ashley and Jack. If either of them dies, he'll just carry on with the other one, or someone new. It's not like he was in love with either of them, he just wanted to "hit that".

My female Soldier romanced Kaidan and Jacob. Jacob already died, and she was like "eh". If Kaidan also dies she'll be like "eh". The only person whose death would actually affect her emotionally is Morinth, her BFF.

Not from my Soldier! She's my "pure renegade" character. She is straight-up batsh¡t crazy psycopath to the max.

if LI dies... I'll do research to find out if its preventable, load up early saves, etc. if I find out its not preventable... I will never buy any bioware games at full price, ever again. if its preventable but at too great a cost? I might have a similar reaction. if happy endings are only available with certain LI's, while others require more sacrifices and specific actions ala DA origins? I might complain for a bit if my favorites are the ones that require jumping through extra hoops, and then I'll just jump through those extra hoops and bask in the epilogue.

I like my happy endings. I don't always pursue them, but I like to have that option in an rpg with actual character interactions and multiple endings.so lack of thereoff is a difference for me between "pre order" and "buy later at a heavy discount"

My main female Vanguard, I honestly don't know how she'd react to Kaidan's death. She's never allowed herself to, more or less, fall for someone before, he's very special to her, but I I think it would be shellshocking, definitely, but she'd carry on, and probably wouldn't allow herself to grieve until everything else was over. She would be driven by anger, though.

My male Soldier is caught between Ashley and Jack, but he's seen so much death in his life, I don't think it would effect him so much as it would just drive him deeper into being a reclusive cynic. He had to watch his entire family die on Mindoir, got his whole squad killed on Torfan, lost everyone but Jack and Morinth during the suicide mission. He knows death all too well, and the way it has twisted him...I don't know if there's going to be much left of him if either one of those women die.

And as for my female Infiltrator, she was intended for Joker from the start. I just so made the mistake of basing her off of Zoe Washburne for the most part, which makes Joker her Wash, and if everything inside of me right in telling me what is going to happen to our beloved Mr. Moreau, I just jynxed everything by basing their relationship off of the doomed couple's. D:

This.  If my favourite engineer ends up in danger, or worse, dead, as a way to give Kai Leng or whoever some cheap heat, then the game disc will learn to fly.

I expect more from Bioware than simply stuffing an LI into the fridge.

If anything happens to Ash, the galaxy can burn for all my Shepard cares. The memory of her keeps him going despite all the craziness going on.

If the death is not preventable, ME3 disks will burn. Melt. Whatever.

LI dying invariably (unless it's Thane) = boring.
Save multiple people or save your LI = boring.

These are both far too predictable, tired, and lazy devices to get the player emotional.
