Not that I'm complaining, you're technically right except about that thing about us being ageless mecha-cthulhuoids devoted to systematically erasing high-level civilizations from the Milky way. That's the dolphins, not us.

Sir I am a dolphin and the fact that you consider anything other than us an advanced civilization both offends and amuses me

Being simple is good. I can read Red Riding Hood without having to wonder about the sociological implications. Dude, you're not MEANT to look into it.shaneofthedead wrote...

I see the point, and no. It isn't as amazing as you think it is, and your high IQ doesn't make you as philosophical as you think you are.

This times 3. It's just stupid, really. Shepard is indoctrinated because we're controlling him. Really? It wouldn't be an RPG if we couldn't. Derp.

The OP does bring up an interesting thought as to what exactly did Cerberus put in Shepard. Given the comparisons people have made between Shepard and Saren, it's not too much of a stretch.

whatever cerebrus used to bring back shepard didnt make him a reaper thrall. shepard fights the reapers every step of the way, Shep wouldnt have stopped sovreign or the Arrival if indoctrination was a real issue

I thought Shepard was me but Shepard is actually Shepard and I am just controlling him. Wow!
I have been enlightened. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when Shepard gets our of control and just strolls around while I hold no power over him/her whatsoever.
I am baffled.

Since the begining of ME1 none of his actions have been his own. They have all been our own actions. Be it Renegade or Paragon, Spacer, Colonist or Earth Born. Everything Shepard has done He/She has done it due to our own will. Which would make us the evil Reapers and Shepard our little loyal puppet. I'm sure Bioware won't go anywhere with it, but I thought it was an interesting topic.
Lol first thing I thought was "true A.I."

I know, right? his insight has made me realized that shepard isn't our character we make mold into ourselves, but actually just a us being the evil villian controling the protagonist making him try to kill us, does this make us emo reapers? Shepard being the razor to our depression because we are all sad that we kill all life.
I can't believe I didn't see this before.
