So if, say, the tech expert you need to break into the base is sick and suffering from dehydration as they get into the very, very hot tubes, and then passes out... what are you going to do? Other than be screwed? Not, mind you, that you have any fore-knowledge about what challenges will be required.
This is the duty of responsible people: to not add needless risks without good reasons.

Juggling babies?
Leaving sensitive information on a memory stick left in public?
Not having security at an important institution on a specific night?
Gambling?
Actually, that last one is a pretty good analogy. Winning a gamble at, say Roulette doesn't change that taking the gamble was an exercise in stupidity from the start. BUT YOU WON doesn't change how gambling is aimed at those without good sense of numbers.
