Talimancer here. I like it precisely because of the health issues. You have someone who really can't have casual sex. She has to trust her partner. Not only that, they have to think about what is and isn't possible for them. Going forward, they will probably have to alter their definition if sex a bit. And yet, the game affirms that someone with serious health problems can be a sexual creature in a stable relationship. Sign me up.
very good point

And Grunt disagrees with you. He calls humans squishy yet not Quarians. If anyone is an expert of squishiness levels, it's the krogans.Arcian wrote...
Depends on the Shepard.Saphra Deden wrote...
Most people aren't that sensible. Shepard included. You seemingly have no idea how rich human saliva is on bacteria and contagions. There's a reason why human bite wounds almost always become infected.Saphra Deden wrote...
Once again. Tali was shot in ME1 and she was just fine. She was shot again in ME2 and was just fine.
Swapping a little spit and using a condom will be less dangerous than having a high velocity round puncture her skin and allow millions of microbes directly into her bloodstream.Kal'Reegar begs to differ.Saphra Deden wrote...
Quarians were never as fragile as you many of you try to make them out to be.

Tali is not the game's most popular character. That would be Garrus.DoNotIngest wrote...
Why would you make an account on a game forum with no customization and a suspicious user name and make an inflammatory thread about said game's most popular character directly afterwards?
Not according to the most recent polls.

BSN polls aren't very reliable.

Secondly, squishy is not the same thing as fragile. Also, Grunt may have referred to their suits. Even so, Kal'Reegar outright says that the quarians are not fit for ground combat due to the risk of exposure to contagions and the difficulty of treating the injured efficiently and correctly.

- People like her romance(including me).
- Because its a feature in the game.
- Game =/= reality.
- Same reason you romance anyone.
- Why the hell not?

You know I thought that too because "krogans" sounds stupid, but it turns out the plural is krogans.
You can hear it several times in ME1 and ME2.

If you really love Tali why would you sleep with her ? If she died the next day because you couldn't help yourself what would you do?
That's the reason i don't romance Tali it'd be pretty *** up if she died.
If every Quarian that had sex died of infections, there'd be a lot less of them around these days.
True, but she made it sound like a huge risk
Quarians are allergic to each other, even breathing the same air makes them physically sick until they build up an immunity so for her it probably didn't seem like much of a risk. If not treated sensibly it could potentially have rendered her unfit for duty but the chances of it proving incapicitating were fairly small because... it's pretty standard for her race and they've had hundreds of years to figure out what they're doing.

Mmmm... Why I pictured Tali with Shep´s underwear inside her mask?

But answering the question: I romanced Tali because of her character. She was incredibly brave and loving person. Other romance options were hiding behind their "masks". I understand that some might get the "little sister" vibe and there's nothing wrong with that and just be friends with her if some other team mate interests more, but for me no one wasn't even near of Tali's personality and character.

Depends on the person. If God almighty had told me, "Stay the f**k away from the forbidden fruit tree", I would have replied, "Ah cool, I'll just chillaize somewhere else."badmojo88 wrote...
Three, no contact and masked, the first post on this forum raises a good set of points however misses one very important one, the "no contact and hidden face" issue with Tali gives a certain primal allure to the character, if intended or no Tali is a classic style "forbidden fruit" character and people in reallife or fantasy will forever be drawn to that which they cannot have, some see it as a challange to their beleaf that "love can overcome anything, as I beleave.
Abstinence is such a rare virtue these days.
Wow i do agree with the "forbidden fruit" thing. I think it also helps that fans can't see her full face, and therefore they can "fantisize" and believe she is extremely hot, and they can't be proven wrong....so far.

Don't worry guys. I had sex with her and she just got a small flu. She didn't die and everything is fine. Also I believed that Tali as smart person was making sure that all the antibiotics etc. made the risk of dying minimal.

Ashley's too.................."strong minded" in her views of aliens
Miranda's too much in the uncanny valley
Liara's turned frakkin nuts apparently when you hear her threaten to flay a guy with her mind
Jack's is, well, an acquired taste for some
Kelly's too friendly
Chakwas is too old
The Consort is unavailable
Shiala is suffering from Thorian HPV
....off the top of my head. Don't quote me, am really not the best source for why Tali is loved so.
