Warden, he seems to finaly come into his own as a warden, where as a templar he just seems to resentful to hawke and himself.

Yep Warden whether you have legacy or not as he's a bit more respectful to you in letters and dialogue since as the end result in the main story is pretty much the same whichever order carver joins

Carver as a Warden all the way. Can't stand him as a Templar. When I hear about the mages in the gallows being whipped I get a mental image of Carver doing this. I prefer both siblings be a warden. I hate the thought of Bethany in tower with men like Ser Alrik and the possibility of her being made tranquil on Meredith's whim.
Carver becomes a man as a warden and finally realizes he is doing something for the greater good. Maybe even better then his older sibling.

If you actually bother to "friendship" Carver, most of his dialogue changes.

It's not about happiness, it's about compelling story. Happy endings are for children.
Playing a character whose only living immediate family member is sworn to oppress him - he's like a Jew with a brother in the S.S.
And that scene where Orsino, Hawke and Anders stand opposite Meredith, Carver and Cullen... poetic. Orsino and Meredith, the heads of each faction in Kirkwall; Hawke and Carver, brothers at odds; and Anders and Cullen, a Fereldan apostate and templar who want to take things a little too far.
P.S. Necro'd.

And for Kai Lan the Serpent. If you haven't played Jade Empire you probably do not get this reference. The Big Nothing wrote...

Hmm...I finally went back to the game to try out a mage and would prefer to make him a warden, but I don't like the party composition it forces on you.
