I've installed Dragon age Orgin on my Windows 7 all good and fine that's great but now i try to install awakening (yes i did install patch 1.4) and it does not reconize the Disk. Both i bought when they first came out at EB Gamesthey worked fine on XP when i put Awakening disk it, my computer just treats it like it the orgin disk.

Blame EA's production system. There are always a high percentage of DVD burners that can't read what's on the disk. EA is using some incompatible process that buffalos some drives (like the ones I own). You can probably copy the content to a folder on the Hdd to install from.

If that doesn't work, borrow someone's external DVD drive. Those are usually read-only drives, which have no problems. I ended up installing across my LAN at home from an old PC with an old DVD drive, to my game system in here.

You can also use the CD key to get the digital version from the EA digital download service known as Origins. Any EA PC game released in 2009 or later can be registered and downloaded that way.
