I'm not so sure about that. I know I've read that (in olden times) Jews could go a certain distance beyond their own home and belongings. The sneaky way around this is to drop off someof your belongings at the mark and keep on trekkin'.

To be honest though I doubt that many Jews today, much one-two hundred years in the future are worried about staying immoble on Sat.

As for the Afterlife,  Is it there?  Probably - but it's not that "big of a deal" or "the focus" - If you're good (and the comment about the "Righteous Gentile" applies: anyone who is good), you're there.  If you're not good, nothing happens. (Christianity has you focusing on your problems for All Eternity (Why do I have flashbacks of Rowan Atkinson now?) while in Judaism you're akin to a certain parrot.)  How you got the result is important, but not the result itself.

No problem, just that all she's said is that she beleives in one sort of higher power. For all you know, she could ahve many gods, be a deist, etc. Ash haters take this way too far and mention how that cna't like her because she's religious.

You know, I just thought of something.  There are almost no religious people in Mass Effect.  In fact, the only two I know of are Ashley, and those who play a Shepard who is religious.  We hear constant whining and ****ing about Ashley's religion.

In Dragon Age, there are loads of religious characters.  Some of the most favored ones in the series fall into this mold.

Is there something about about DAO and DA2 that religious people are drawn to that Mass Effect lacks?  Could it even be the influence of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien?  They both wrote their most famous works in a fantasy setting.  Would the answer to this question be different if they'd chosen scifi instead?

Well, she did say God, singular, so I kind of assumed she wasn't a pantheist, pagan, buddhist, or hindu.  In my own headcanon I assumed catholic, but going solely from what she said an argument could be made for any flavor of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, or Deism.  Maybe even Zoroastrianism but I'm less familiar with that one than the others.
