It's a known issue and one of the fatal bugs with Legacy.  What I like to call the "Immortality Bug".  It's one of two ways he'll become immortal and you cant finish the DLC.  The other is he'll randomly jump back up to the middle pillar and stay there even after "activating" all the statues.  Luke's said they're on this along with other issues as well

kk so, once you get into battle with him, you simply make the whole party run away? what about the 4 shrines that released him. I'm confused as to how to complete this particular DLC. would be very thankful for some help or advice, so I can move on back to main story.

The key is to interact with the pillars after he enables them so that his "shield" is removed. The key is to avoid the flames and other defences on the surface of the floor. I managed to complete the boss battle with just Hawke (warrior level 22) and the mabari hound as my three companions (Aveline, Bethany and Varric) had fallen in battle. Also remember that the flames move in what I think is a clockwise motion which should help you stay ahead of the actual flames. Hope this helps.

kk,2 questions....A) I'm at the battle between mages an templars, I beat the head mage but got stuck on the templar cmdr( I was lvl 21 last time) am at lvl 23 and bought every health,stamina, an lyrium pot I could get my hands on. any other suggestions? am having problems with the Merrill part of "Questioning beliefs" is it a bug? an how ar can I curcumvent it?

Any patch or info about what cause the glitch? I stayed 15 mins running in circles around Corypheus after activating the statues (and no spirit were release). I suspect this may be because i am a rogue and i decoy pretty often, but then again, the fight is hard enough as it is, without me using my best defense.

The flames move counterclockwise.

I'm on NM playthrough with bloodmage Hawke and i still have not yet beat him.
I was unprepared to fight this dude (forgot to buy rune fire resistant).
My team is consist of  Aveline, Carver, sebastian and Hawke.

The immortality bug is not too bad the bug that makes him spin in the center of the room with the fire on the ground and ice falling  forever is very bad.  Anyone have a fix for that bug?

Is there some special way to avoid the bug where he just stays at the center even after disabling the altars? Because even after managing to avoid the "invincibility bug" I always run into this one.

I have that happen in normal DA2 so I don't think it's just an issue with that DLC. The target will have no health left and won't die.

This isn't a glitch. It happens when an enemy has a resistance to the element (or physical) that you're using. You cannot kill an enemy that has that resistance.  Happened to me a lot with "Corpses" who have fire resistance and I was using a fire bow. Also so happened that all of my teammates, except one, were using fire damage, too.

As for Corypheus? Seriously, screw this guy. I've restarted this battle so many times and I keep getting hit by one glitch or the other. Either the invincibility or the endless non-guardian-spawning fire/ice/lightning spiral of DOOM.

Neither of these glitches happened when I used my Warrior Hawke, and now I'm using Rogue Hawke, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Whatever it is, it's annoying as hell.
