I can't feel sad for a film, If it gets too sad I start to see it as cheesy and end up laughing because of how it is over the top dramatic. Last time I honestly cried was pokemon the movie when ash ketchum got turned into a rock. I was 6? How can you feel sad at a game or film?

R u heartless?

As long as there's an ending with a giant Shepard posing dramatically...Superman style... in front of a burning ravaged earth, I'm good.

Krzimmer I don't think I am, I just can't take real sad or dramatic scenes serious, it quickly becomes cheesy and I laugh.

I want an ending where Sheppy stops being everyone's b*atch and conquers the galaxy with his/her homies - aka the Geth. Disregard a romantic interest, as they would probably just try to undermine Shepard's authority.

@King Minos, I'm just yank'n your chain. But seriously, sure movies and games aren't real life, but they still draw from events and emotions that we all feel. It's how we connect with them. What would they be without those elements? Bland and unrelatable, I think. I'm not saying we should all be bawling our eyes out at every emotional scene, but I think some sadness and drama is absolutely necessary in a setting like Mass Effect.

Anyway, a little off topic. I'm sure Bioware will offer us multiple endings to suit most everyone's desires.

For me there should be 4 endings:

Full Glory, everyone survives.
Realistic good, billions killed, but your squad survives.
Realistic bad, trillions killed, squadmates dead, one or two species gone.
Full crap, everyone dies, and a cinematic of the reapers "reaping" everything.

I agree with this to an extent.  Tbh, games are expensive and I don't purchase games that are going to leave me depressed at the end.  I don't mind tragedy in a game, but at the same time this is not a book, a movie, or real life.  As I understand it my choices matter so I want the game's endings to reflect that.

If I have to play and think a little harder for a happy ending, so be it, but don't yank it away from me for the sake of "the drama" or "the realism".

At the very, very least, if I can't save all of my squadmates, I want to be able to save my favorite squadmates...

There will proberly be a happy ending but it shouldn't be that much of a happy ending since there needs be some loss for Shepard as well (its too easy to save everyone in the SM) I want Bioware to make it hard for us to save every member of Shepards team that will add weight to the plot

I'm a sucker for happy endings, I don't mind a sad ending but it has to be relevant and not gratuitous. I think being depressing is a lot easier than being positive (just look around you, everything is depressing). That being said, I love sad endings too provided they're good. I tend to consider a work of art is a failure if you get out of it feeling older than when you entered it. If the ending is sad in an enthralling, cathartic way though, then hell yeah.

Disagree.

There should not be any ending where every character makes it through unscathed. In order to be a good story, Mass Effect 3 needs to have some emotional impact on the people playing it. That isn't going to happen if the Reapers never really seem like a threat to Shepard and his team or if the only people that die are unnamed billions (nothing more than a statistic) or characters that have very little screen time.

Paragon: Your Love Interest mourns your death while telling the Council "Shepard gave his life so you would have a fighting chance."

Paragade: Shepard informs the Council "Many good people gave their lives unselfishly so we would have a fighting chance."

Renegade Shepard says "I sent good people to die for this? Get your act together and use the chance I've provided."

Oh, how I remember as a kid, the moment Obi Wan Kenobi died in the old star wars movies. I was like NOOOOOO... because I liked his character very much.

I want that NOOOOOO feeling to come back if my LI dies by chance. ME3 has the potential to invoke such emotions.

Personally, I'd love a "Dirty Dozen" type ending--some get killed, some don't...lots of explosions...those who make it become heroes--or goats depending on whether they succeeded or not.

I'm borderline between reality and the gaming world. Reality demands that sacrifices be made (hence Jacob, Zaeed, and Thane dying in SM) and gaming demands that everyone lives to get as much content as possible. Just create two different saves IMO.

I for one one a bittersweet ending. You do good but at a cost. I would also like an epilogue telling about all your choices and their impact. :D

I don`t know :pinched: is such a big problem in movies xD everyone hates me. My nerves are ok while I watch the movie, so is not from fear that I laugh . Example: Paranormal activity, my god I never laughed so hard in my entire life with the frog thing spirit, and the sound of a lion in the bathroom

Paranormal scared you? I'm a big fan of horrors, in drag me to hell at the start a woman actually gets pimp slapped by an invisible spririt, I think I was the only one laughing in the cinema, full surround sound and the slap is in full definition.

I hope that there is a happy ending but I also hope for a sad ending and a awful ebnding.

The first time I played DAO my elf mage romanced Alistair but then she wanted to spare Loghain so Ali and her could ride off into the sunset Ali walks out and I was shocked and horrified but it was the most awesome and unique gameplay experience I had EVER had. I played to the end and US and he didn't even come to the funeral. That was a TRAGEDY and I loved it. But I did play through for happy endings as well.

I wish there had been something different about the SM in ME2 because I am a completionist so I always do all the sidequests and get the best upgrades and stuff so there was never any chance of me NOT getting everyone home alive. It only made sense to have biotics and techs and the doctor go with their respective groups.

I couldn't agree more.  For ME3 to have the same impact as ME1, you have to inject an element of sacrifice . . .even if that means the loss of one of /multiple squadmates, a love interest, or even yourself.

Oh that moment XD

The scene when they use dust or something like that to see the foot steps in the floor, that one was hilarious, seeing frog toes on the floor made me laugh terribly, I was thinking... so the ghost of a frog who lives under the house and appears at around the 3 or 4 o`clock in the morning after some kind of train pass next the house, goes up the stairs and tries to rape the house wife xD

I read somewhere that the ending of ME3 would "not end in celebration", and that there would be "various degrees of success". I hope they won't give in to the all-around happy end temptation, the way things are going now, we'll get a satisfying conclusion to a war story as it should be.

If it doesn't, they can celebrate not getting my business.
