600-800 meters is little, could be much worse, like 600-800 miles. ^_^

The Gatling gun actually wasn't even doing anything if you actually pay attention.

^Its from the sci-fi card game ''Purge Sins of Science'' which will come out next year. I think this particular object is called ''red hand'' or something like that.

Why are the Reapers even landing seriously? With their firepower surely uber-nuke earth from space until nothing but dust left. I never understood why in clips and game the Reapers even need to land... Or just push the moon into the Earth and 'hey presto' mission accomplished. Makes more sense to me than landing and having ****** for tat battles.

I'm pretty certain this is a plot significant point. The Reapers don't want to wipe humans out from orbit. Why this is however, is a better question...

If you look at several planet descriptions from ME1/ME2, there's some signs of likely orbital bombardment used to exterminate any species residing on said planets. So it seems the Reapers have done this in the past, but are choosing not to do so now.

We've already had this one answered.  That was sort of the entire point of ME2.  They want to make a Reaper out of humanity.  They're securing what they consider a necessary resource.

They probably want to harvest Earth, enslave the population etc.

ME2 certainly suggests this, true. But considering that their Human-Reaper scheme was kept (relatively) covert through use of the Collectors, it seems odd that they've now shifted to an eggs-in-one-basket approach of launching an all-out assault on Earth. Admittedly the Reapers are arrogant and technologically superior, but it seems a very risky gambit in order to simply facilitate reproduction. They could potentially lose more of their number in battle than they would replace through human smoothies.

I'm of the opinion that this is about more than simply creating Reapers.

The sound that the Reapers make is somewhat similar to the Geths' 'language', IMO.  It could simply be a threatening sound effect, or the Reapers 'talking' to one another.  I like to think it's the latter. :)

Watching this clip you can hear different versions of the sound effect at certain points.

Sorry for the massive link - I'm not sure how to edit it so it appears as a word etc.
