Nah, the "bitter hero avenging their assasinated love" trope is kind of old. On the other hand it would be cool to play as the LI to save Shepard from a sneaky assasin.Dionkey wrote...

Rofl, I just imagined... not Jack, sorry, but Garrus being there with the assassin, with a gun pointed at his left mandible, with this eerie uncaring expression...
"it's been worse."

What if that's Shepard himself trying to retrieve a Normandy that was taken by Cerberus or a merc group? Maybe this is some of the stealth gameplay we heard about.
A neat possibility, but the helmet design and the pattern on the weapon suggest Cerberus. Still, would welcome what you suggested.

Not to mention that all the LIs are badass warriors, and the way that scenario is presented makes it sounds like they're being demoted to a "damsel in distress" that suddenly forgot how to break out of a chokehold. Kind of demeaning, don't you think?
I like the idea of the role-reversal, though, even if I doubt they'd go in-depth enough to let us actually play as the LI (maybe just have them at the forefront of a "Rescue Shep" cutscene). As long as there's no wussy, Hollywood-style helplessness involved, a hostage situation doesn't sound half bad.

The fact that someone is able to smash through a window of a starship (not your avarage home or car window) while in space tells me this is just that, a piece of concept art. Something that's not meant to reflect an actual story point. But if this does happen in game, that guy better not damage my model ships or it's garbage compactor before he leaves through an airlock.
Heed this: it's very obviously not an in-game image, but hand painted/drawn. Don't expect that scene to translate exactly,or indeed, at all.

To be honest, Kai Leng's skills are equal to Shepard's. If you tried to escape from the hold I am sure he would drop you like an ugly baby (I know, it's been used beforeAlphaDormante wrote...

Yeah, I don't think BW would leave out things like this.

True, but I still kind of doubt that anyone on Shepard's team would sit around and let themselves be turned into a bargaining chip

I don't think it's in a vacuum, at least it shouldn't be, otherwise the glass, the assassin, and the mattress should be flying out of the broken window.
The glass is already flying through the window, as well as a cushion and a datapad nobody seemed to notice

Oh, and if you're interested in BW leaving out "scenes" then go and watch some DA2 trailers. You'll see that the game itself is "missing" a few scenes.

If they were waiting in Shepards quarters I am guessing they would be unarmed and would then only have their CQC/Biotic skills to defend themselves with. Something you should note is that Kai Leng is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat.AlphaDormante wrote...

Or watch a ME2 trailer and see that the game included all of those scenes.

Or see how some trailers implied things that happened completely the other way *cough* Legion being a psycho-warfare stalker *cough*

I know, but that's my point! They would fight back, which would probably prompt Kai Leng into killing them, which would then just end in the horrible trope.
