Yeah, I don't think BW would leave out things like this.
Please consult the links in my sig if you want to hear the kind of stuff BW has left out. Not making use of a concept piece is small potatoes when it comes to cut content.

So the Alliance decided not to get rid of the structural weaknesses? Somewhere, Legion is shaking his head.

how is there an upper window in the captain quarters? I dont remember that.
anyways I wouldn't surprised at assassination attempts other than your usually mercs, troopers coming at Shepard. I would like to see more subtle attacks, a bartender who slips poison in your drink...wait that was done. well you get my meaning.
No i don't remember that either although i do remember EDI telling us the captains quarters were buried in the ship so i would wonder how they managed to get in through several decks without being noticed, burned a whole in the captains quarters, covered it in glass and then swung through it.
Personnally i'd just use the door...

How so?
Oh, and if you're interested in BW leaving out "scenes" then go and watch some DA2 trailers. You'll see that the game itself is "missing" a few scenes.
Or watch a ME2 trailer and see that the game included all of those scenes.
Or see how some trailers implied things that happened completely the other way *cough* Legion being a psycho-warfare stalker *cough*
Don't get this started, not being able to summon demon hand things to rip people in half on my Hawke was dissappointing enough.

"The topmost deck of the ship is entirely comprised of the captain's quarters. It is located directly under the exterior pressure hull, earning the nickname "the loft" from the fitting yard workers."
Guess i heard that wrong and assumed they were talking about the spaces that sea battleships use to have below the waterline for the protection of civillians, do still wonder how they got through the exterior pressure hull tho.

EDI was made (coded) by Cerberus and in ME2, it wasn't able to tell the commander about Cerberus at all (nothing really important). So I guess that the Illusive man has some control on EDI.Mims wrote...
There's definitely a window above the bed. It's like a large skylight that looks out to space or whatever is above the Normandy.
Would love to see a close quarters fight with an assassin. It will be interesting to see how they manage to get past EDI.

She was unshackled ("set free") by Joker during the Collector attack. After that she was willing to tell Shepard everything she knew.

To be honest, Kai Leng's skills are equal to Shepard's. If you tried to escape from the hold I am sure he would drop you like an ugly baby (I know, it's been used beforeAlphaDormante wrote...
Not to mention that all the LIs are badass warriors, and the way that scenario is presented makes it sounds like they're being demoted to a "damsel in distress" that suddenly forgot how to break out of a chokehold. Kind of demeaning, don't you think?
I like the idea of the role-reversal, though, even if I doubt they'd go in-depth enough to let us actually play as the LI (maybe just have them at the forefront of a "Rescue Shep" cutscene). As long as there's no wussy, Hollywood-style helplessness involved, a hostage situation doesn't sound half bad.).
woah...I kinda blacked out after said someone is equal to Shepard

I always thought that window right above Shepard's bed was in poor taste considering Shepard just died sucking on vacuum. Like they were trying to give poor Shepard psychological trauma.
what part of the galaxy doesnt allow you to look up and see the sky?
more importantly, who wouldnt want their own space ship with a window directly above their bed?
even more importantly, i dont think new-shepard has any mental scars from dead shepard. maybe?
i also wanted to add, absolutely nothing.

If that window can be breached by a low-enough energy stealthy enough that whoever is planning that assassination thinks one guys is enough, I'd kill those Cerberus Engineers that designed the ship ... and TIMmy for letting them.
Nonono, you see, TIM - in his incredible wisdom - knew that he might have to kill Shepard one day when he and his guys designed the new Normandy they built in a back door in the form of this window.
Seriously though, Are we even sure this is Sheps room? Look like they redecorated a bit (which of course is entirely possible). IMO it could be any bedroom. Although I have to admit, the idea of an assassination attempt aboard the Normandy in enticing.

Imagine it, Shepard just randomly takes the elevator up to his crew quarters, any time in the game, goes to feed his fish and *BOOM*, Cerberus assassin comes in through the roof.

Hey it would make feeding the fish more interesting
