I just got an email from EA (least i THINK thats who its from* the subject line is :Exclusive Tips for Your Dalish Elf - Raina
my
Dalish elf's name is Raina but I found it odd how they knew that O.O I
mean idk and it just tells me to go to a certain person in the game to
get a special item, i don't know if this if for that lucky ring/stone
item or what but found it kinda kool. It also said that:
You can recruit a third companion at the camp, if you search hard enough.
Speak with the clan's woodworker and you may get a special gift.
Pretty odd, but eh just wanted to share incase this is for all Dalish elf's maybe it can help when the game comes out,
Did anyone get this email?

I got an email about an hour ago for my female city elf. Mine says:
It's fine if we post them, right? I mean, the email says they're "exclusive" tips but we forumites are just too share-happy.
- Your father may give you a gift when you talk to him.
- It’s possible to fool some of the guards; they’ll assume you’re a servant if you’re not carrying any weapons.

Yep, it just came today for the first character I uploaded (Reilon, human noble warrior) with a set of tips for his origin story. I guess that's a confirmation that they are aware of it and will be granting the "lucky ring" (which they specifically mention in the email).

Apparently one of the other threads mentions something about selecting a tick box to receive emails or updates when you set up your account. If you don't select that box, you probably won't get the emails.
A lot of people don't remember having the option to select the tick box, and someone from BioWare was looking into it. That was a while ago now though.

Okay everyone:
- please say if you have gotten the mail AND from where you are(continent)
maybe this is only for people in America, because they get the game earlier.
Me: Europe and didnt get it.

Europe too, didn't get either, but I believe it's just because of the unchecked box (I haven't looked, but I usually make sure to uncheck boxes that promise me 'interesting exclusive insider information'). Good thing they're sending them out now, I just hope I won't have to turn on all mail offerings to get this one mail I actually want.
But it sounds neat, a few pointers for your Origin and all.

I too received an email from EA regarding tips for my Noble.
I also received an email from the EA Store on Thursday that my preorder of DA:Origins had shipped .
I guess that means that I should have the copy in my hands by November 3. If so..WOOT!

I know I won't be getting the mail so it'd be much appreciated if people would paste the versions from different origins here. Naturally especially interested of the dwarven commoner one.

I haven't got an email for this or for the lucky stone. Does this still have to do with the fact that us who just logged in here using our old forum pass words and not getting asked some questions still causing us not to receive the emails??
