I found the options at the EA profile site...I wonder which it actually comes from?
Did anyone get this email?

so now if we go to the Bioware page and check that box, will they send emails for the characters we've already uploaded, or do you gotta upload a new one?

I got the e-mail, its pretty neat. Its for the first character I uploaded, it'd be cool if they ended up doing it for all of them eventually, but either way it was nice.

got one for my Dwarf Commoner the tips are
It’s possible to drug one opponent before entering the proving grounds to make the fight easier.
If you’re feeling particularly nefarious, you can sell the lyrium acquired from the smuggler for extra gold.

All of this business of having people turn on their "receive newsletter" stuff is silly. Why don't the people who have already received the emails simply post them here? I know some people have already, but if someone from every origin did it, it would save people time.

Here's a recap of the ones that have been posted (thank you very much to those who did)
From PandaThief , Dalish elf:
From PandaThief , Dalish elf:
- You can recruit a third companion at the camp, if you search hard enough.
- Speak with the clan's woodworker and you may get a special gift.
- Your father may give you a gift when you talk to him.
- It’s possible to fool some of the guards; they’ll assume you’re a servant if you’re not carrying any weapons.
- The wisps in the fade are weak to cold damage.
- By searching around the repository you may find a powerful staff.
- Your family sword and shield is stashed somewhere in the castle. Perhaps your mother would know where?
- Your mother is an exceptional archer, but weak so it is best to position her away from melee combat.
- It’s possible to drug one opponent before entering the proving grounds to make the fight easier.
- If you’re feeling particularly nefarious, you can sell the lyrium acquired from the smuggler for extra gold.
