However, I see no reason for Tali to be at the Migrant Fleet. She can't really do anything there, except for discussing with other quarians on a proper way to aproach the Geth. She could be of greater assistance with Shepard. I also image Tali would be one of the rare individuals to actually care on the outcame of Shepards trial and be there to support him.

Not to nitpick but Samara says that when the business with the Collectors is done, she was going to go back to following the Justicar code and exploring the galaxy for evil to destroy. Plus, I think bringing Samara to Earth might be as bad for the population as the Reapers, given how widespread gangs and corruption apparently are in the future.
it hasnt been said that she is returning in ME3, just baout everyone else is though. her and Kasumi have yet to been comfermed.

I think you might be a bit hard pressed to find a Batarian willing to work with Shepard after he/she killed over 300 thousand of them. Not saying it can't happen, but it'd better have a good reason to overlook that. And personally, there's just something about Aria that makes me want to bioticallly kick her in the teeth. No idea why though. Don't hate her, just wanna do that whenever I talk to her.Brand New wrote...
I can imagine the possobility of recruiting Aria, Kahlee, or Gillian as possible squadmates. The others you can recruit might be of another species we haven't teamed up with such as the Batarians, maybe even Kal' Reegar. I'd like another Quarian. I'm sick of Tali.

Samara actually says post SM that she would be more than happy to help Shepard any way she can when the time comes. She can be there.Keatons wrote...

About staying o the Normandy - for Miranda, Jack, Thane, Legion and Kasumi it's just dangerous to go in Alliance's hands, the rest theoretically may do it without getting in jail, but why would they risk to be thrown out of the ship by Alliance? And why Shepard decided to go to Earth on Normandy in first place - won't it be better to book a ticket on aother ship and leave Normandy under Miranda/Garrus/Jacob so they can continue searching something that may help in fighting Reapers?
And about "The Prothean" (Adventure/Character) - it may end with character being an expert in Protheans (maybe some salarian lady since Mordin is almost confirmed as not joining).

I hope that if squadmate isn't on Normandy since the beginning, s/he is standing on definite planet/station with huge hitchhiker's sign - because running around gathering team while Reapers already arrived is pretty stupid.

I have always wondered about this as well. The Normandy is MY ship and no one other then my crew is going to have control over it. It do NOT belong to the alliance. It does NOT belong to cerberus.
both the alliance and cerberus OWE me big. Cerberus brings me back to life and gives me a ship and then they say that...I...owe them for doing this for me? If it was not for me then you guys would not even stand a chance against the reapers in the first place....Go to Hell cerberus!...We are even now! The alliance owes me as well and instead they put me on trial and take the Normandy away...Go to Hell Alliance!

Prothean squadmate? Oh jeez, here we go..
You say that as if it would be a horrible thing, and completely implausable. The Prothean empire is one of the most interesting sources of lore in the ME universe IMO - I'd love to learn more about them, and their downfall, firsthand from a live Prothean.
It is also completely plausable from a lore perspective - all Bioware need to is state he/she was put in stasis when things got bad (similar to those on Ilos), and has been in stasis for approx. 48,000 years, presuming the Protheans on the planet he/she was frozen on were clever enough to make use of solar panels, unlike the fools on Ilos.
Not to mention Bioware more or less actually confirmed it. Seems very unlikely they would 'accidently' type the name of the DLC as 'The Prothean', then explicitly state it involved a Prothean squadmate - only to realise their mistake a few hours later and delete it.
Thumbs up on your reasoning! I want one too. Gimmie gimmie gimmie....

God, I hope Prothy is real. But if not, I won't feel cheated.
Hopefully after chasing them across the galaxy in ME2, Tali and Garrus won't be TOOOO hard to recruit though.

Uh has anyone considered that ''The Prothean'' may actually be a Collector? I mean in ME1 the Geth were the main antagonists and in ME2 we had Legion, in ME2 the Collectors were the main antagonists, so in ME3 we'll most likely get a Collector squaddie. Sure you may argue that we wiped them out but hey, maybea few of them were out on patrol in the terminus and got back to see the smouldering wreck of the base just before Harbinger released control?Ericander77 wrote...

I believe it said something along the lines of 'Prothean quest/squadmate' - though I didn't see it myself when it was up. If I'm mistaken - please correct me.

The collectors were made what they are by the reapers. It wouldn't make sence for one to be born with a mind of his own.Josh123914 wrote...

And it would be lame for BioWare to do that again....

I think it was stated that the Alliance got their hands on the Nomandy, took it apart, and put it back together, while adding to it, before the events of Mass Effect 3. I'm not sure what'll become of Edi.mauro2222 wrote...
I don`t think that they will be on board the Normandy, after all, now is an alliance ship, is confined to earth during the trial, and most likely they will send a lot of engineers to investigate the new tech and when they run into EDI... well... and mostly all the info of Cerberus that is inside the ship.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about Garrus's family. That might actually make an interesting setting for introduction of Garrus in Mass Effect 3.

She can't really fill an important role there, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think she'll try to get there. C'mon, you know Tali's character. You really think she'd miss an event which could determine if her people live or die?
