That does sound like Garrus. Asking to see his family. Other people would just leave. But Garrus asks permission. What a guy!

I kind of assume that after the suicide mission people like Tali and Garrus would have left the Normandy or something like that but I'm not sure. After ME 2 the Normandy wouldn't have really had much of a purpose anymore.

I dont think the exact number was confirmed anywhere, ME2 had 12 squadmates so if it's going to be less, 8-9 permanent ones is ok. There should be temporary ones as well.
