You want a couple space battles and a turian occupation of a single human colony.  Boy, that'd make a fun game.  Seriously, the casualties numbered in the hundreds yet people treat it like some intergalactic conflict.  It wouldn't make an interesting game.  At all.

No ancient evil, I want my Shepard to lead a human led coalition consisting of Rachni,Geth,Quarian,Krogan and Vorcha against the three council races.

well the premise for da2 is much simpler: mages vs templars in a single city, yet they managed to squeeze 40 hours of gameplay from there

sidequests, expanding the lore, the first contact war playing as TIM could be a full fledged game.

Do you think the next ME games after ME3 kills the reapers will be as exciting if the story is about the races we know, political struggles, genetic experiments, full intergalactic wars and fighting races with the same level of advancement as salarians, turians, etc?

Or is for you part of the charm of ME the expectation of an unknown superadvanced evil, organic or synthetic, who is infinitely superior in tech and with unknown motives?

would you like the next ME game to present more galactic thriller storylines or do you want to fight a frightening unknown threat that nobody seems to have a chance against?

Mass Effect 1 was a lot of fun even when you thought you were just chasing a rogue Spectre.

Why not make Mass Effect IV similar to Mass Effect 1 before the Reaper reveal?

Instead of fighting to save the galaxy from an ancient evil, you are trying to bring down a rogue Spectre that wants his species to secede from Council authority, and he and his supporters aim to do it by assassinating the Council and provoking a war that pits the Council species against each other. The secessionists should have a charismatic leader like Saren, and maybe they plan to achieve their goals via some powerful Reaper tech they've managed to salvage. The Reapers themselves should be dead and gone for good, but their shadow should still loom large over the universe.

DA2 spanned 7 (10 with ending cutscene) years. The First Contact War lasted a few days combat-wise.

not much of DA2 justified that timespan, they could' ve resumed the story in two years. Besides, the buildup to the first conact war would be the game, and the contact war itself the last act. The opening of the relay, the first dogfights, the counterattack, etc you could even play as a turian.

Ancient evil has been done to death since H.P. Lovecraft and The Lord Of The Rings, even Babylon 5 did it.
No more ancient evil!

Cosmic evil from the future that has come back in time, or plain old brand-spanking-new evil will do just fine.

I want a future evil.

That's right. Time travelling evil. You know it'd be epic.

I assume you're referring to the Shadows in B5. They weren't really "evil" they just promoted a philosophy of grooming the younger species to be independently strong by sewing conflict between them.

FORWARD PLEASE:)

Sorry about that, I don't want any spin-off of Mass Effect to go backwards in time. I really don't care to play a game about stuff the lore has already told me happened. I liked the novels, Anderson is a bad ass, but I still don't want to play him, or during that time where it is all canon.

The spinoffs should be about exploring through new jumpgates. Finding aliens that have never heard of the council, the reapers, and so on.

Mix up things, instead of just creating yet another cinematic story of a new hero fighting a big bad, mix up genres, make the next game a combination of exploration and resource management. There is a bit of Quarian hate on these forums, but just as an example. The Quarians sent ships out into long missions into unknown parts of space. I'd love a game where it was more about survival and building a colony. I'd love a game where due to fuel or whatever, me and mine were stranded.

There would be combat, but we'd also have a bit of base building, research trees, resource management that was meaningfull, not just planet scanning.

Anyways, I'd like if Mass Effect goes further after this trilogy ending, it does something different, goes on a tangent and adds in some other things from other genres, rather than just being cutscenes, combat and who will I romance this playthrough.

I hate prequels. You already know how everything is going to wind up. There's no mystery in how the setting will be evolved by the story. Booooring.

Progression, not regression please.

I'd like ME4, or whatever it's called, to take place hundreds (maybe 1000+) years after the events of the Shepard Trilogy. The galaxy could be running out of resources, with a full-scale galactic war brewing. Tensions are mounting daily.

The galaxies last hope is the

Neuromancer
Mote In God's Eye
The Stars My Destination
Ender's Game
The Diamond Age
Permutation City
The Forever War
Man In The High Castle
Schismatrix
[insert thousands more]

I think we've done the ancient evil plot with the reaper story so it would be nice to see something different.
Since politics are quite fleshed out, what I'd like to see is a gray colored spy thriller like the Jason Bourne Trilogy, just in the ME universe.
