Just your gear, or your money, gear, and your whole inventory?

Any difference if you go the US route and then port  your character to Awakening anyway?

All your gear, money and inventory gets transferred over EXCEPT for stuff that's equipped on companions and items you got through DLC (like Starfang).

If you import a US Warden, Awakenings will retroactively change your Warden's story so that you accepted Morrigan's ritual. This is to save you the bother of replaying the last part of Origins and accept the ritual yourself. Every other choice from your game is imported, however.

If you want US you have to import to DA2 and not play Awakening/Golems/Witch Hunt.

some decisions in Origins have effects on Awakening but it's minimal and not always reliable (especially if you have the unpatched version)
examples-Who speaks to you at the beginning? Is Wynne alive? do you have a letter from a lover?

I am trying to get an Awakening epilogue slide implying that the Warden is the de facto ruler of Feralden. I am the Chancellor an agreed to stay at court. But according to the wiki, if you romance Lelianna this won't be possible. So could I use the epilogue party camp gamesave (the one that only lets you play DLCs) and break up with Lelianna and import that ?

You need to be a male Cousland and Marry Queen Anora to become King of Ferelden (Prince consort...) and this has to be done in Origins.
