Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy VII
Resonance of Fate
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Dragon Age: Origins
Divinity II: Eco Draconis
Too Human

Hmm....there are some bad ones that I have soldier on in and beaten or seen as "meh"

But the absolute Worse has to be

FF X-2...I never could make it far past the first boss. Not that I was bad at it, it just the game smacked so much of fan service, for a crappy ending, and teenage boys dreams, that well I just, idk the game just didn't have any, substance to it. I just couldn't even force myself to play it like I could say Origins in its slow parts (damn you deeproads) or dealing with Broken Mechanics in say FF-8. Or the Derpy VA's in Phantasy Star Universe and Two Worlds Two.

I could name several "Meh" titles. But 10-2 just takes the cake. Closely Fallowed up with, Two Worlds Two, which felt like it copied most Modern WRPG's and didn't have a soul of its own, and I got sick of the grinding, horrible VA's etc. Even with Codes I couldn't stand finishing that title.

I only got an hour into X-2 until I took it out of my PS2, went back to to the store, and got my money back.

Fallout 3 - Found it just mind numbingly boring. The combat is clunky and frustrating and you spend most of the time not really doing anything but wondering around mindlessly.

The Witcher - One long fetch quest with a combat system designed like an annoying version of wack a mole. No thanks.

Jade Empire - The story is dumb and predictable,Combat is broken and sluggish, Characters mostly wooden sterotypical and uninteresting, The one interesting character is a little girl who is possessed.

Fable - Promised features missing. Too easy. Short and quite childish.

Morrowind - Ruined by a terrible combat system and predictable story.

Oblivion - Ruined by a terrible combat system, short story and smaller world than the previous one.

Fable 2 - Bugged beyond belief. Promised features from Fable 1 which were in this game sucked. Combat was even easier than the original and the story? Total rubbish.

Fallout 3 - Combat was so disgustingly horrible that I gave up after 17 hours. The generic story didn't do the game any justice either.

The Witcher - Found the combat to be a boring chore. Terrible combat camera. Didn't like Geralt. Didn't like any character in the game really and I didn't find the story to be special. There were a few good moments but I didn't enjoy the game overall.

NWN2 - Camera killed the game for me. Companions were irritating...people say Bioware ruined the Dragon Age franchise...well, Obsidian ruined the NWN franchise.

Can't remember any others. Just my opinion though. I know there are others who love these games.

"Beyond the Beyond" on Playstation followed closely by "Vay" on Sega CD. Awful games, the both of them.

I have dreaded memories of trudging through BtB after Samson's curse, only for him to be on par with the rest of my party once it was lifted. Combat was repetitive and bog standard. There were no clever mechanics like "Chrono Trigger" or the older FF games had. The story was standard far and forgettable. I vaguely remember seeing the ending and feeling total disappointment, but not what it was.

I will not even get into "Vay".

All Final Fantasy games except FFXII and Tactics. The story in most of them was ok but very formulaic, the character design was terrible, combat and gameplay were terrible. I generally don't like JRPGs, they're mostly all the same.
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusade was also really bad. Drakensang:The Dark Eye was another one. And you may hate me for this but Deus Ex 1 makes my list, purely because of the clunky gameplay and needlessly complex UI(Inventory<_<), that game frustrated me so much( and no I was not trying to play it like a shooter.)

There is still a community around NWN2 that would beg to differ. I prefer not to debate it given the subjective nature of this thread, but that comment was a tad too hyperbolic to overlook. :P If any company ruined the NWN franchise, it was Atari by handing the reins to Cryptic.

The Witcher: I wanted to love it. I love the books and lore but the game was a boring chore with god awful combat.

Oblivion and Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader (If you consider them RPGs)
FF8 ruined the franchise for me, so that one was pretty bad too.

Two Worlds - I'm pretty sure it's the worst game I've played, not just worst RPG.

Fable 3 - The last half of the game felt like Loinhead just said "Eh, close enough. Ship it." Then they ask paying customers to send bug reports like we're beta testers. Ugh.

Hi, I still play NWN2 and I think it could have been 100% better if they'd just left the stuff from NWN1 in the game. and didn't replace armor pieces with a few jumpsuits.

Deus Ex 2 was a super disappointment.

As someone that enjoys tailoring her own outfits in persistent worlds, I understand where you're coming from. Despite that I get why Obsidian disposed of armor pieces. They looked hideous by modern graphics standards. Quite a bit was left over from NWN1, though. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Ditching the radial menu? Having ten hotbars more than made up for it. The quickcast menu was handy too. My favorite class is sorcerer, and I found the radial menu fairly cumbersome after picking up several metamagic feats. Using the number pad to dial-up spells can get hairy in the heat of battle.

Do not get me wrong, Obsidian definitely could have improved NWN2 in areas. It is by no means perfect. I just disagree it was a vast failure compared to NWN. I enjoy both games to this day. They each have their strengths and failings.

Let me also add Champions Online to my list, you know you have a problem when the character editor is more fun than the game itself.

Although I rented these, Two Words 1-2. Also, Fable 3. Fable 2 is a close second. And then Fable 1. Also, X-2. Gah.

The worst RPG I purchased.... for me it's IWD, but that's because I was never a fan of the create your own party genre. Keep in mind I only purchase games I know I'll like, after much research.
