but will there be a new one for male shepard as well?

No. Why would there be? They already paid a male model for the right to use his face for male Shepard.

Why would there be?  ManShep had a detailed and textured face based off a real-life model in the first place.  FemShep is just getting what ManShep has always had (possibly minus a real-life face model).

Yes he's very handsome and all, but I personally would prefer him with longer hair. Some other players would prefer him with a beard. I mean, any other Shep can have a beard, ain't people who decided they like Sheploo's face for their playthroughs kind of punished but not being able to at least select different beard/hairstyle for him? I get we can't customize his face structure, bud giving him beard or different hair could at least provide some choice in his appearance, a substitute to customization.

It would be difficult to enable customisation of Sheploo - he was not directly created with the character creator tool. If you were to (say) add a beard, you would be combining high res textures with low res, which would make him look fairly ridiculous.

The hair will be new thought since they've created new hair system anyway. So why not at least add new hairstyles for Sheploo? I fully get that his face can't be customized, but his head (hair part) is static, it doesn't move/have bones so I can't really see how would putting different hairstyle on it be any difficult from dev POV.

this would be nice.  Replaying KOTOR and my pony tail moves as I walk.  Hair wasn't great, but it moved with me.

I believe they are responding to the OP, in which the OP is asking if the model will be changed.
