Theoretically you could reload , recruit  him and just get a bunch of gifts to butter him up, or maybe cheat command to raise his approval and unlock his specialty. Hes much easier to win over than others. Than when you get it unlocked save. And then reload your current save.


Then when you level up in your future save you should be able to take ranks in it.
