How she knew he/she needed the help I don't know. Either she really did have a vision, or she just put two and two together from the fact that Loghain left some soldiers in the tavern to look for the Warden.
Though how Loghain knew the Warden survived I don't know.

Loghain knew that the wardens survived long enough to light the beacon before he called his retreat. I'm sure someone from Lothering sent word that the wardens were alive. The wardens do kill the soldier left at the Lothering Tavern that were there to kill the wardens if they showed up. Loghain doesn't hear back from them and assumes a few wardens are alive. Howe is the one who told Loghain the the wardens were alive. You also have the option to send a message back to Loghain by those soldiers. Personally, I always kill them all.
Flemeth can change into a dragon and she has to see alot of what is going on from the air while flying around.

his soldiers in the tavern were specifically looking for the Warden though, under Loghain's orders. Not just any Warden, the Warden.

He wanted to pronounce his undying love obviously.
Yes even if the Warden is male. <3

Well... either an absentee deity is really talking to her through indigestion-based dreams and plantlife, which is more than a little retarded, or the Divine has a seer in her service and was warned to send some aid to Lothering. ... I'm going with that one.

I like to think that Dorothea is an incredibly powerful anti-mage mage who managed to secretly work her way up to being a Divine.

I'm sure Loghain wasn't expecting the wardens being rescued from the tower. He really didn't count on Flemeth so I agree with you there. Not unless someone saw Flemeth fly off with two wardens in her claws! LOL. I'm sure the person on the ground if they did was thinking which is worse being eaten by a dragon or darkspawn? Cailann's bodyguard who was captured by Bann Loren could have also seen it happen? Just a thought.
Flemeth put a kink in Loghain's plans all the way around.
Plus consider where Flemeth's hut sits. Not far from Gwaren. Flemeth could have been spying on Loghain for along time. She does warn Maric that Loghain is going to betray him one day.

Isn't she the Reverend Mother that helps Leliana in Leliana's Song? I believe she is and she is now the Divine. Let's face it, Leliana is doing her dirty work for her.
I also got the impression that Leliana is covering her tracks because of her own shameful days being a bard when Sketch was along for the ride. With someone putting a job quest on the chanter's board. I took it that Leliana was the one behind that and trying to get Sketch killed or she was trying to save his life. I'm not sure which.

And according to Morrigan, Flemeth was a bird, not a dragon lol. But I think Loghain was just making sure the Warden's were dead, he couldn't confirm the death of those in the tower, especially since they managed to light the beacon. Then in Lothering, it was confirmed that they were alive.

If this is the case then Loghain was going to sacrifice his own men so the beacon wouldn't have been lit and Loghain could claim he never got the signal. Loghain had men stationed to light the beacon. Cailan over rules him and sends the wardens. Darkspawn can tunnel to the surface. The guard does tell the warden they found tunnels before the battle. I'm not sure what to believe here.
This is very good question. The tower was sealed off by Loghain's men before the batle. Did they open or dig tunnels for darkspawn to surge through the surface? If so, then he did plan on betraying Cailan before the battle even happened. Prior to this the battles fought with the darkspawn before had gone well. Cailan and his troops were holding the line against them prior to the battle that our warden is a part of.

lol you people jump to a lot of conclusions, what reason would she have to get rid of Sketch? She doesn't need to cover her tracks, Meredith aided an apostate that eventually killed a ton of people and went on to become not only a Templar, but a Knight Commander. I don't think the Chantry sweats people's past.

Do you honestly think a small bird plucked two human beings from a tower? Flemeth had to be in dragon form to do this. Darkspawn seem to afraid of any dragon. Some dinosaurs are considered to be classified as birds.
Dragons real or in myth because they can fly could be classified as a bird. I would also consider a dragon being a dinosaur from our own world history which many of them could fly.
What does Meredith have to do with the Divine and Leliana and both the Divine's and Leliana's checkerd past? Have you played Leliana's Song? What apostate are you referring too? Her own sister or Anders? Or someone else entirely.
People just enjoy talking about the quests and storylines, and the lore. I guess you do too, or you wouldn't comment either.

The answer to both of those is "Yes, she is."
And I agree with TEWR about the solution to Dorothea. I really hope we get to go old school and burn that **** at the stake. Sadly, it's an RPG, and we all know what that means. She'll actually be incredibly powerful and be able to take more punishment than two archdemons, likely turning into some kind of twisted angel form when she's near death.

Oh please no. She'll pull out a successful (unlike Meredith's failure) One Winged Angel and then we'll have to run around like idiots waiting for her to get a weak spot.

and yes, Morrigan says Flemeth transformed into a giant bird.
honestly, I doubt Flemeth transformed into a dragon to rescue them. She probably transformed into a giant bird the size of a dragon.

The operative words being a "Giant Bird".
In regards to Doretha, I'll have to see if she is willing to reorganize the circles and templars both before I stick her with my Sword of Mercy.

You assume she has a heart. And really, what difference does it make what Morrigan said when we know Flemeth can morph into a dragon? She does it about every 20 seconds.

"She turned into a giant bird"
*Flemeth was actually a dragon*
"Can you go kill my mother?"
*fails to tell you that Flemeth can morph into a dragon*
REALLY doesn't benefit her to withhold that information.

- being threatened by a Warden and other powerful party members
- having a craving for tasty crunchy Darkspawn (who are threatening a hero-in-the-making)
It's an ace up the sleeve.

I don't think I'll ever forget the first time I went to kill Flemeth and she turned into a dragon. I actually said s***, to my pc when she did that. I was expecting a whopper of a mage fight.
