Uh, which code exactly? the only one I can see on the box begins with EA and it doesn't accept it.

There's a similar code on the instruction manual (back page) - doesn't accept that either. Anyone know what I'm supposed to enter?

Make sure to include all the digits on the barcode, including the two on either end that are separate from the grouped numbers. Otherwise it still won't work.

code above the barcode on the "plastic box" (lol) the collectors edition comes in

the barcode itself



With regards the first three, I've tried them "as is" and also with the EA letters removed - still nothing. What a surreal way to have you attempt to register a game...!

This is how i did mine, At the back of the box, there is a barcode, you need all 12 digits that are there. Then your game will be registered, unless you tried that but it didnt work, and if you did there a site problem then,

weird - i tried the barcode a third(!) time and although I got an error message, when I went back to the page it said I was now registered??

I just read somehwere (xbox.com - DA:O forum) that there is a registration DLC item (a short sword called "The Edge") that we are supposed to ge if the product is bought and registered by November 30th. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes thats true. You are supposed to get The Edge, its not showing for me in game or on the site after successfully registering my UPC.

I wanted to register my DA:O Awakening, but i didn't get it with the box, i downloaded it. Is there a way to register it WITHOUT the bar code??

Did you type the smaller numbers way to the side of the other numbers under the barcode? That was my problem. And by the way; DO NOT USE ANY SPACES. It won't work if you do.

I still can't find a way to complete Act 2! It is having the problem with Knight Commander Meridith's cut scene. I changed party, cleared cache, change difficulty setting, download "patch" gone back to the beginning of the stupid 2 act and still the some ****!! Bioware post a damn answer to this problem or say you can't fix so I can take the game back and buy a game that oh I don't maybe FINISH!

Oh and fix the font settings, really want is with you guy! Great game concepts but ****ty execution. This is the second game I buy from you guy and the second one I've had problem with! That 2 for 2 guys. If i can't get this fix there wont be a third. Man this just sucks.

I have also downloaded the game and I want to register it because I can't use some DLCs I've downloaded because it says they are unauthorized. Can anyone help me??? PLZ!!!!

You have two problems there; both quite distinct from one another.

If you downloaded the game from XBox Live marketplace then I believe you'll either need a mod to help you register your game or contacting EA support directly. With retail versions you use the UPC (or the barcode number) to register the game.

As for unauthorised dlc...have to admit it's been a while since I saw this issue with a console version (my first reaction is...'you're on the wrong board'). You'll need the various accounts in place for starters like an EA account, and then you'll need to add your Gamertag to it. That should set things up for the most part. See the first part of this for a guide on how to link the accounts. Also assumes the servers are working.

thanosG4- I checked your account and you do not have your Gamertag linked to it, which is why you are not able to access your DLC.
Here's an FAQ on how to link your Gamertag to your EA/BioWare account:

I have registered the UPC code for you, so all you need to do is now link your Gamertag correctly and you should be all set.

Hi i have lost the outer box but i still have the case and book, i am unable to register DA Origins because i done the the number with the barcode anymore, is there any way i can get it back? cheers

EA_AgentX I don't really understand what I have to do. I'm playing the game on pc and the instructions you gave me say something about Xbox and Playstation. And the demos it says I have to download have nothing to do with Dragon Age Origins. Anyway I don't really care about this since the DLCs I can't play are additional campaigns such as Leliana's song and the Darkspawn Cronicles. I have played the main DLCs such as the Stone Prisoner and the Wardens Keep which influence the main game. Besides this I am currently playing Dragon Age 2 on pc too, so thanks for the help.

Well, given the info you have just provided it turns out that you have posted your query on the wrong boards. We have assumed that your platform was a 360, and the advice given was based on that assumption. As such, with you being on the wrong board (so my suspicions were correct then), the advice is inapplicable to you.

PC registration requires you to use the CD key (or serial number) which you input via the website on the forums here. Go to 'Profile' and then 'Register game' to start the process. Should be simple.

As for the other things, do check RaenImrahl's sticky on the PC boards because they have a lot of fixes in there ready to be used for the most part. And depending on the nature of your authorisation problem I believe patch 1.05 should be dealing with outstanding issues if current fixes on the PC cannot.
