I downloaded Dragon Age Origins from Xbox Game Marketplace.

If I purchase Ultimate Edition on disk will I be able to install the expansions with the copy of DA:O I downloaded?

From other posts floating about the forums the UE dlcs are not compatible with the original disc release of DA:O. With this in mind it is possible that the UE dlcs are not compatible with the XBox Live marketplace download. To use the UE dlcs you need the UE disc 1 to play according to other users.

Thanks. Any idea if it's possible to transfer a game save from the Xbox live downloaded game to the disk version?

As I understand it from other posts using the save game isn't a problem; so all your current game time isn't wasted. Just that the games themselves are incompatible as it were.

Ok, so I tried this today. I installed Warden's Keep from the Ultimate Edition disk and was able to access that expansion from the game I downloaded from Marketplace without either of the UE disks in the tray.

Hm...that's interesting (it doesn't work for a normal DA:O disc apparently), and thanks for the update. Given your experience I take it that Feastday gifts, Return to Ostagar and the Stone Prisoner also work for the marketplace download you have?

Interesting because it's the newest piece of information I've come across in a long time.
