Well I think it will likely be Grunt, unless he's dead or you never woke him up.  Then you get no krogan goodness in your squad.  Shame on you! 

More seriously, what happens if you never woke up Grunt?  Is his tank still there, and can you activate him late?

the alliance probably took him for resurch or something....

heres a poll. the more squad member (less than 12) the higher chance of grunt or another krogan (a new krogan is better than non at all)

ya, vega does kinda sound more like a jacob role, but Jacob had biotics.......
