I was able to connect before Gears of War 3 released. Now I can't do it anymore. I have the same issue with Dragon Age 2 server also. So... iuno what's happening.

That would only further the thought that EA servers prioritize certain games mentioned/discussed on other threads addressing the server issue.
I will ask an unanswered question: is there a reason as to why you need to connect to the servers in order to play?

Sorry to be the noob, but do you NEED to get access to CerbNet to get things like Zaeed, Firewalker, and weaponry? I bought the game new, a whack of points, downloaded virutally of DLC- which, btw, I tried to get into CerbNet before the first had even finished downloading, so it's NOT the DLC- and then went at it, still wouldn't acess. I redeemed my CerbNet access code online through my desktop, it showed up redeemed, and so my question is, after all that and my redeemed code via desktop, do I HAVE to access CerbNet to get all the stuff I unlocked from redeeming my code? I haven't played that much into the game, and I'm really only grabbing for the assurance that I actually have what I payed for.

Yes, you need CerbNet for Zaeed, Firewalker, and N7 mission Normandy crashsite.

I was looking for a solution to this and I just tried testing my connection (I'm wired right now, but sometimes I'm wireless) and I set my clock three minutes ahead. One or the other or both made it work. Just posting this for future people who need help with this.

I'll just chime in and say I cannot connect either. I even deleted all my Mass Effect 2 data off my 360. No dice. It's been this way for about a day now. Odd thing is, I can connect fine to DA:O on my PC just fine.

I've been having the same problem. Then it was fine for two days, and then randomly stopped connecting again.

Just got this game recently and have not been able to connect to the cerberus network. Would like Bioware and EA to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I was also having the same problem. The only thing that I tried was went into network settings and tested my connection. I have a wired connection, but after doing this the Cerberus Network seems to be working fine for me...

@Benhungry Some of us started to have Off and On issues. I never had a problem until around September of 2011. So, I don't know what to tell you. I'm happy you are fine, but I have pretty much resorted to not buying any EA games until I know what's up.
Let me also say, I still have NO issues with Crysis 2 multiplayer, I can get in with ease, no issues. I had no problems with Battlefield 3 beta either.

My friend has the same problem, where I have wireless connection on my Xbox 360 slim and works for me fine, and he was this wireless adapter and the odd thing is that he downlanded Dlc's on market just fine it's this Cerberus/ Ea **** that doesn't want to connect him, as it says time out or ME2 server may be down.

I think they are working on the servers for ME3. Ijust take out my adaptor. It's happening with DA2 as well..

Had a bit of a problem today myself, kinda wondering if it might be something to do with the changing of the clocks, at the end of british summertime. But I can't do this "Set your clock forward" on the Xbox, because when you are connected, the date and time is automaticly updated.
Not too fussed by it really, I just wonder whats wrong.

Don't think it has anything to do with changing DST. I've had this issue all summer. At first it was intermittent. Now it is constant. I am not able to login to the Cerberus network.
The odd thing is that lately, I get an occaisional screen, telling me to register for the Cerberus network? But when I hit the okay, I get the usual 'timeout' response.
Does not seem like EA is too eager to resolve the issue.

I don't think EA sees this server connection issue as a 'problem'. That is to say, it is not something they are actively going to 'fix' because there probably isn't anything wrong with the servers as such. There may be fewer servers that handle these few games, and that's it. It is unlikely that EA will dedicate more servers to older games as time goes on, with bandwidth needed for newer games and games which have a popular online multiplayer aspect. Single player games will likely go to the bottom of the priority list in this respect. As such I wouldn't expect the connection to the servers issue to be resolved any time soon if ever.
All speculation on my part of course.

This is absolutely disgraceful from Bioware and EA. I've recently started to play Mass Effect 2 again (to prepare for ME3) and this issue has struck me (also I've noticed it with Dragon Age 2) while I'm happily connected to xbox live. I see these forum posts and see it's been an issue going on for months. I say to everybody: do not delete your games, that so-called solution does not work. As per the post above about the prioritization of multiplayer games, this is most likely true (and sadly more evidence of EA having power over Bioware). Do not expect help from Bioware or EA on this matter, they've already got your money, and such an admission that they value other customers more (while true) would be counter-productive to their marketing.
If a staff member of EA or Bioware can resolve this, please do so. Do not placate us with unhelpful links or platitudes about how we are important to you. The proof is in the pudding: if you value us, fix this. Otherwise stay quiet.
The only solution I have found is to turn my whole entertainment system off (tv, xbox, internet etc) then waiting a minute, turning everything back on, and then it connects to the cerberus network (I don't exactly know why it worked, maybe it deleted some caches or reset something, I'm not an expert). I hope this helps.
Ranting over.

I'm playing ME2 on the PC. I downloaded the Cerberus network and yet the game keeps prompting me to enter my redemption code or purchase the Cerberus network again. This is very frustrating as I've all ready purchased it. If I purchased the Network online do I still need to enter a code, and if so, where do I find it?

Wrong thread and board for your particular question. This thread deals with server connection issues; and for the 360.
Anyway...if you've already purchased it then it should be available under the 'Registered game promotions' tab. I would not recommend purchasing the code again; and the code does have to be entered to gain access. The PC board should have more info for you.
