Even though I dislike both of them immensely I think Jacob and Miranda would be a good match. It's hinted at in the game, but never really explored. Maybe their romance would soften my dislike?

I wouldn't want every member of the crew having a relationship but some main ones sure. And we hear a few things here and there like for instance if mshep doesn't romance Ash we hear her sister saying how cute Kaiden is if those two did get together later in game perhapse we come up on one of them and they're just listening to the end of a message. This way we know throughout the game they're involved so if we have to kill one of them later that LI will have issues with shep ingame.
