I'd love to have a Hanar squaddie. Given their excessive politeness, I think one would have some pretty funny combat dialogue sequences, similar to Legion. Theres actually a broadcast you can listen to on Illium about a movie with a Hanar spectre. Its a Dirty Harry reference: "I know what you're thinking, did he fire six shots or only five?...You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" In referencing this line, the hanar says, "This one has forgotten if its heat-sink is over capacity. It wonders if the criminal scum considers itself fortunate?"

My Normandy isn't an equal opportunity employer, it's a meritocracy.

Therefore it's unlikely it will see a batarian squaddie unless we go slaving since that's all batarians are good at

Do you play ME while wearing your white sheets?

lol

But I agree, Batarians are scum of the universe. ERADICATE!

I think you mean EXTERMINATE!

I don't think they can make squadmates out of characters who can't use the standard human animations used for squadmates throughout the game. Otherwise it'd be great to see a hanar, volus, elcor, or rachni. I'm surprised it works as well for krogan as it does.

Batarian, prothian, and vorcha are the only ones I can think of that can be used, unless they introduce a new race again.

Yes, I would love Blasto the Hanar Spectre to be on my squad. I mean comon, he's got a lover in every port, and a gun in every tentacle.

Or better yet, a volus salesman. "We will fight the Reapers...*breath*...with the power, of economics!!"

how do you guys feel about only about 6 squad mates confirmed for ME3? I know we wont have 12 like in ME2, but how do you guys feel about it? would you like alittle more or is 5-6 alright?

with more squad mates we could have a higher chance of a new alien abord the normandy.

My problem with only the six is that there is a possibility that two of them (Garrus and Tali), would not have made it through the suicide mission, and if that is the case, then are there two squadmates to replace them or are those players just SOL?  If so, it would be highly discouraging for anybody to lose squaddies during the SM (nobody wants to lose possible content, even if said content is not exactly necessary to finish the game).

I'd like to see it kinda halfway to older Bioware games, where you can recruit say, six to be on the Normandy at any given time out of 12 to 15 members in the game (and your active squad would be limited to two at any time, as per usual.)

I think 6 is preferable.

I'd rather have 6 excellently written character's, with deep and varied dialogue than 12 characters half of whom are rather two dimensional, with no real empathy felt for them or indeed any emotion by the player character.

Especially when sacrifices are going to have to be made. It would remove that feeling of turmoil when the player has to choose if half your crew are relatively expendable strangers.

^This but make the limit 10 out of 15 on the Normandy at a time.
