I'm also getting this error, which is annoying (obviously) and as a result of it my profile hasnt updated here in weeks, and I'm worried about what kind of effect this will have on Mass effect 2 (when I get it). Is something wrong with my profile, severside?

same here, all the characters that i had on my profile i deleted as i thought i reached the limit but nothing happend,now they all have come back but still dont update anything

I've been having this same problem for about 1-2 months now on my Xbox 360 and I decided to contact Technical Support for this. This is what they had to say to me:



"Sometimes certain configurations can conflict with your game. Set any controller, sound, and video settings to their default setting. This can be done deleting the game's settings information from the hard drive. Try playing the game again."



"This could also be an issue involving corrupt game save files. You will need to remove game related save data by following the below given steps."



1. Power on the Xbox without a game disc inside to display the Xbox dashboard.

2. Select Memory and press A

3. Select Hard Disc and press A

4. Scroll through the save games until you find your specific game.

5. Press the A button while selecting a files to delete them.

6. Confirm deletion when prompted.

7. Repeat until you no longer see any of the game files left on the Xbox hard disc.

8. Restart system with game inside. Try running your game again.



"This issue can also be due to any NON-OFFICIAL Peripherals connected to your console. Please unplug all non-official peripherals connected to your console. The easiest way to ensure this is to unplug any peripherals except for the official licensed controllers that came with the system. This includes any memory cards or network adaptors. When the console is starting up it will calibrate the controllers. Do not move the thumb sticks or press any of the buttons until the EA logo appears."



I haven't tried this yet but once I do I will let everyone on this thread know if it worked or not. Also if anyone tries this before I do then please let us know if it has worked for you.

Alright, this is irritating. I only have a "xbox live" account to access DLC for this game and others. I have zero other reasons for having the internet hooked up to xbox.

I'm curious why I cannot log into play a single player game when some server is down somewhere...

Finally someone ELSE out there who is irritated by all this bs LOJACKWARE EA and VALVE (and everyone else it seems) is implementing - It should not be legal how they force you to go thru all this *stuff* just to play the game you already payed for.  HAY EA!  If you are going to make your customers jump thru all these hoops for content that should be available in the game purchased anyway, at least make it WORK and have some people to SUPPORT it!

Its like if you buy a new car, and the key wont open the door- The dealer doesn't tell you to hire a locksmith....
I may have to take up gardening instead...

when I look at the profile diagnostics i get the message Invalid personna combination so i went to a site changed the personna to xbox 360 then had a look again and says cant connect to storage, then went to a fourm,came back to the diagnostics page now it saying invalid personna again had a look at faq nothing about this problem

After recently creating my Bioware account and not knowing exactly what this message means, I now understand it entirely. I've gotten it twice now. Every time I continue/load a character I get it. Its not big deal for me, but I wouldn't mind making my avatar into one of my characters or updating my stats here. And seeing as I have the 360 version I can't upload screenies, no sweat for me. Also I might add that for some reason I CANNOT register my game here on the forums for the reason that it has already been registered to my EA account. That's a little bit of a peeve for me because I'd like to show that I actually do own the game.

I have box in hand, bought game at a big box store, but they won't let me register the game.  I'm 3 emails in and now they want me to scan the back of the box and send them a picture. Really annoying.

Me too.. All my DLC will not install. I think it's because the game cannot access my online profile.

just thought id tell you i done all this and nothing, i re downloaded everything just incase, to be honest i think its a bioware not player problem which they cant be bothered to sort out

It logged me in originally when I rented the game, but I took it back and received it as a gift. Still getting the same message everytime I play and it has been since christmas! Quite annoying.

right did anyone upload a character from character creator on the pc? cause i belive its that what screwed mine up as any character i make on the pc gets uploaded but i cant connect to xbox storage cause i think that it is set to pc and not xbox and only started happning around the time i uploaded a character to get the free ring

I never used the character creator, and I'm getting this error on the XBOX 360. Sounds like this is crossplatform. I've actually noticed that it seems to improve for a few days if I powercycle my network and create a new character (which I coincidentally happened to do a few weeks ago, then did again to test if that had really worked), but none of the new characters have ever uploaded to this site and my original character still shows level 13 even though I maxed him out before the finale. Interestingly, as far as I can tell all my achievements from all characters are up to date though.

My character's story and progress have updated but the armor and clothing is still stuck on the starter. Also, some of my characters only have the background without the character image.
Edit: Or does the armor only update for PC?

I've got the same errors with my xbox. It worked for awhile, but now it's not updating any of my characters. I don't know how to fix it. I've tried to log out of my EA account on my xbox, but there is no place that I've found to do that. So frustrating!!!!

I've had the same problem since the release almost, a few weeks ago I went to my profile, then manage charcters and deleted every one on there. Took a bit of time but I stopped getting the message when I started the game up, characters are also on my profile again though half don't have the portrait.
