Mass Effect had the Thorian which looks liked testicles with a toothed vagina. No one says anything about that. But they see a second of side boob and an ass cheek and scream on Fox News, "Rape simulator!"
And then their next game had Morrigan putting on a bra to have sex. Which just made me laugh so hard. And then you fight the Broodmother and later the Mother.
I don't know. If it's on a monster, it's not nudity?
...eww... I just thought of a Broodmother nursing Darkspawn. Why the hell are we talking about this?
You brought up the nursing bit <_<
Before I make myself sick, I don't get why we can see uncensorted monster boobs and nobody raises hell about it, but when it comes to anything 'human' looking, people go up in arms about it. Bioware needs to take some notes from The Witcher when it comes to steamy romance scenes

In the letter Leliana sends to the Hero of Ferelden in Awakening (if romanced) she mentions having to see the Grand Cleric. Though she doesn't specific where she is, I would assume Leliana is currently in Orlais during Awakening, so Dorothea would fit. Also, the fact that the two are connected because of what happened with Marjolaine years prior, I think Dorothea may have been using Leliana to pull strings to get her to be the choice for the next Divine before Divine Justina IV passed on. Something about Dorothea and Leliana's involvement with her isn't quite adding up here, though there isn't much to go on in the first place.

Indeed, I've been wondering that myself. I also like to entertain the thought that she's a powerful mage who wanted to become Divine to further her anti-mage agenda.
There's nothing to back that up though, but it'd make for a nice little thing.

I said the exact same thing on other threads. It really makes no sense how we can see 18 broodmother ****** but can't see Morrigan's without mods.

I think the key thing with this may be the Marjoline connection - more specifically, the documents that Dorothea had in her possession that Marjoline then stole. If Dorothea somehow managed to cause Beatrix III's death (and had worked to get herself named as successor), I think it may have been to shift some power in Orlais. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

To what end, I don't know. But we're supposed to visit the land of cheeses soon (I should squee over that) and there is the mysterious "Stone." Lots of things could be going on in Orlais.
Also, I'm not sure that Dorothea has an anti-mage agenda. She seems to have an anti-fundamentalist agenda, but then again, her true agenda remains to be seen.

I agree, we only know so little about her, so it's hard to gauge which side of the board she's on or if she's playing a different game all together. Whatever Dorothea was doing in Orlais to assure her succession probably had some nasty repercussions when she assumed the position of Divine. Perhaps that is why we see such a delayed interest in the situation in Kirkwall... could be something pretty bad going on in Orlais.
Whenever someone messes with politics, it tends to leave a mess that needs to be cleaned up.

lol at the land of cheeses.
It would be nice to find out that Dorothea isn't anti-mage and is anti-fundamentalist and to find out she's changing things. I wonder what the Grand Cathedral looks like and if the Divine's seat is there. All we have is some artwork of the Chamber of the Divine:

@The Ethereal Writer Redux - That artwork is impressive, but suffers from a lack of cheese wheels. The cheese wheel should, by all rights, be ubiquitous.

There are also bears and hopefully gorillas, which could serve as mounts as well.
And we have wolves and spiders, but wolves can't be ridden because they're not big enough and no one wants to ride a spider.

Is it just me or does Thedas all together seem to lack the presence of animals to serve as mounts for travel and combat?
Nothing wrong there.
EDIT - Forgot brontos and halla (thank you TEWR). Oh, and that one merchant's ox. But still...c'mon now.

Well, there are nugs as well. But the fact that they are used for skewered snack food is indicative of a rampant problem.

Ah didn't know horses actually existed, since you never do see any. Just found it odd that you see Brontos, Oxen, and Halla which seem to serve the role of beast of burden (do the Dalish actually ride the halla?). I find it kinda hard to believe it took a year to walk all around Ferelden and carry supplies for your merry band of misfit companions... unless Ferelden is rather small.
Nah Ferelden's really big.
And the elves used to ride them into battle. They just use them to pull the aravels through the skies these days.

If memory serves, Shale does make a crack about toting around the Warden's gear. But in DA2, without a surly golem, I don't know what Hawke and company are using for travel or the toting of equipment. They must all have some wonderful calf muscles. And maybe all of those backpacks you can buy in town are woven with lyrium (bags of holding anyone?).

I actually used the same explanation in my DAO fanfic. Damaeus and Amalia Cousland (and all of my other Wardens when I get to them) have enchanted backpacks that can carry anything.
It Merlinizes them
