As long as I'm allowed in character to turn around and say "You kiss your mother with that mouth?" when they start cussing.

I, for one, haven't kissed my mother in almost ten years. I don't think that would be a concern for most companions.

(edit: in case you don't catch it this time, this is, in fact, a joke. just to make that extra clear.)

See? You achieved the same results without swearing, and you weren't even trying....

So are you trying to say I'm a bully, or an idiot? Either way, I see there's no need for us to keep talking.

Well, I guess if you want your PC to be the buzzkill morality police of the party, it should be an option.

And there better be sirens accompanied with that just to break immersion lol.

Actually, that's an interesting point.

I recently played an Indie adventure, and one of the characters called my character a word I found offensive (well, I would have in RL, anyway) - related to sexuality. In this case, there were two choices of response for my character. I wanted to say, "Get stuffed" (or similar) but neither of the responses challenged the bad language at all - it was "Haha" or "Let's talk about something else." I found it really annoying. But, I guess it raises the question, "How do you know what the player wants to say?" - and allow for everything.

If I see or hear Fenris cussing I want the ability to shove a bar of soap in his mouth, tbh mainly because don't like him so any excuse will do.

Having a Hawke who blows an air horn and demands a contribution to his "swear jar" every time someone utters a curse would be pretty hilarious.  Of course, the game would end shortly into Act 1, when Isabela and Varric drug Hawke and ship him back to Ferelden with penises drawn all over his face.

Varric: ... haven't seen him since.
Cassandra: Then how did he become the Champion?
Varric: *shrug*

He/she or atleast mine would not have minded that at all, he wouldn't be in the middle of bickering Orsi and Meredith having a hissy fit or lovers tiff with each other.
