Still funny though and I can basically guarantee that a huge percentage of people lost members their very first playthrough if they played right at release.

Eh, I managed to get the logistics right during my first playthrough, I just lost half the crew because I diddled around with side missions after the IFF was ready.

I can see people losing squddies at the line, but just as long as you don't listen to Miranda/Jacob, I imagine people could get through relatively unscathed otherwise.

Anyone else find it funny that if Jacob get's the missle to the face and you kneel down, Miranda says: "No time to mourn the dead, we have to move".

I would have lost two less squadmates if i didn't listen to those two. I was on the verge of picking Samara for the bubble before Miranda had to open her trap and ruin it. I still haven't forgiven her for getting Legion killed.

I did this with the Landsmeet in DA:O.  I felt like a complete fool!
I vowed never again to miss a side mission!  Even now, I go through the entire GAME looking for side missions, upgrades and the likes.

First run-through, I lost Thane in the vents.  I thought (in my defense, it was 3 AM), "the dude was introduced dropping out of a vent after getting past all the security; also, there might be baddies guarding it and those invisible ninja moves and combat skills (as opposed to a pure tech character) might come in handy."

*Eight minutes later*  "Oops.  Sorry, lizard man."

Look at the bright side, Jacob was the first to die like any good black character should.

1) They had a "thing" and she didnt care
2) She cared enough to send him info about his rapist father
3) Token black character is treated equally in games as movies
4) Old Spice Memories (the galaxy's new cologne/aftershave) just came out with a new add which pissed off the Collectors and made Jacob public enemy #1.

In the second, I lost everybody, even Shepard :?:pinched::crying:

The second one reaffirms my thoughts that my ass is bigger than my brain :o

I lost Miranda my first playthrough and thats it. I replayed with the same character trying to redo it and still saved her. Weird.

Wait.... you killed Miranda and ONLY Miranda on your first playthrough? How did you manage that? Did you side with Jack adn took her with you to fight the reaper, or did she die holding the line?  Bioware played favourites and made it ridiculously hard to kill her.

I can't remember exactly I think she died holding the line yeah I sided with Jack in the argument but back then I didn't know I was siding with anyone.

Take a look at the heating ducts as you do that part: they're big enough for the person to stand up in with room to spare, and you can see your squadmate casually strolling along as you fight Collectors. Poor Thane: not even his leet crawling skillz have a use during the SM.

The black guy dying first is like so 80's and early 90's. Get with the times.

Come to think of it Mordin seems like a plausible squad leader candidate due to being quick witted and being ex-STG (who operated in small groups like that).

Yes, but he never led them. He's a follower, not a leader.

True enough, but it was a little late to switch assignments at that point.  ;)

I lost Jacob, the Crew; then Garrus took a shot to the groin and died.

Managing your own clinic, or any group of people, requires some leadership skills.

Albeit, that was leadership in a field that he has expertise in. Mordin can fight, and very well, but it isn't his primary forcus or role in the mission, nor in the STG.

I didn't lose anyone. I sent Jacob back with the crew so I was lucky Mordin didn't die.
