Miranda is a great character. Everyone who thinks she's a **** and kill her for it are just immature babies with fragile egos.

This is using renegade dialog? Paragon Shep is a bit of a try hard with Miranda in the dialog just before Freedoms Progress...but Miranda's quite friendly with paragon dialog on the Normandy from get go.

Might depend on your dialogue choices, yes.

Albeit I don't think that makes her inconsistent either. She's diplomatic once she's on the Normandy. Make sense that she'd be professional once the mission is set in stone and she knows she's there for the long haul.

To elaborate more on Jacob though...

He actually does stay friendly, it's just the way he closes off topics he doesn't want to talk about is a bit off-putting. He still is plenty casual though and wants to spill drinks on the Citadel. They should have just rewrote a couple of his "I don't have any new conversation topics right now" dialogue.

i think she warms up to you towards the end if your nice to her, and have high paragon/renagade for her and Jack's arguement

She does quite a lot...as I mentioned, despite how I felt about her, I never renegade her...have even romanced her a couple of times out of curiousity....am very aware of her reactions to paragon...no idea about how she responds to renegade Shep though.

Jack actually shows more respect to Renegade Shepard in a lot of instances. She doesn't call Renegade Shepard a "vagina" when s/he first confronts her at the end of her recruitment mission.

I love my paragon Shep, but I do get a kick out of when he cops some flak for it...he is adorable, but he is also a bit of a douche...Loved Jack's line....:wizard:

The clash of personalities between her and both Paragon/Renegade Shepards is what makes me like her.

Speaking about Jack real briefly... it annoys me how people give her a pass (and Thane and Samara and Kasumi) will condemning Morinth. It's a pretty obvious double-standard.

Getting back to Miranda though. I think it is important to remember that the fact that she cares for her sister, for Niket, for Jacob, and for Shepard, proves that she does have the capacity to be compassionate. So it's unfair to write her off as heartless.

Ruthless? Yes, but not heartless.

At the end of the day the crew and everyone else is expendable if it means saving lives and accomplishing the mission. At some point somebody has to make that call and accept that fact. It doesn't mean that person doesn't care.

I've only saved the Normandy crew once in a save I didn't keep. However I still like all the crew members.

And MisterLB...we find something we agree on.....^_^

I can find some details in the OP that we agree on.  It's good to see someone who, despite not being a Miranda fan, understands the way Miranda views herself and appreciates the tragic side of her gifts. The usual response is to simply handwave it.

Their reasoning isn't the same. I wouldn't mind morinth if she didn't kill just for kicks.

And that's how it should be. Actions speak louder then words and she did spent 2 years of her life saving you're cosmic burned ass.

MisterJB wrote... Miranda values her crewmates. Unlike what you claim, Miranda expresses
anger over those who died in the Lazarus station and is happy if you
find the crew still alive in the CB. She simply knows that the mission
must come first.

BULLSH!T ... <_< Miranda didn't give a damn about the workers on the Lazarus Project. She may say to Jacob that she shot Wilson in coldblood b/c he betrayed all of them -- but the look on her face before she shoots him along with what Wilson's last words are.Makes it clear that she killed him b/c he tried to take her out in particular.

When Shepard talks about looking for other survivors before they leave. She's all like, "Meh..."

Now as for your second point:

You are making a comparison between controlling every aspect of a child's life in order to satisfy one's own ego and placing a security measure on the head of a fully trained N7 Marine, who had already proven
to be an enemy of Cerberus and was now being given command over the most important mission in the history of the human race.
Don't.

I think that you may have a point here.Looking at it from Cerberus perspective. But there is no way that Shepard would have worked with Cerberus or played the Illusive man's game under those conditions. And TIM knew this. That's why he didn't do it.But apparently Miranda thinks she knows better than Jack Harper...

What does it matter if you kill becuase of your religion, because you are paid to, or because it makes you feel better?

Really, so she did everything in the LP? Anyway, that does not mean I have to like the character.

Never liked Tali, fortunately theres great ways to deal with it.

And Miwi is awesome, Id rather play ME without Shepard rather than Miri.

Aww are you mad at what I said? Try not to take things so personally. This is a thread about Miranda afterall.

Besides, Its not like I go out of my way to kill Miranda in every playthrough, shes just not character I ever really liked.

How is anyone being a immature baby if they are like me and have over 20+ play throughs on ME2 and only killed off Miranda in one of them?  I have everyone dead in one play through or another except for Garrus.  Everyone else died at least one.  Couple of them twice.   Yes, some of them on purpose.  Some on accident.

"Shepard: I never got a chance to say how much I appreciate what the Lazarus Project did for me.
Miranda: I just hope it was a worth it. A lot of people lost their lives on that station."

She may say to Jacob that she shot Wilson in coldblood b/c he betrayed all of them -- but the look on her face before she shoots him along with what Wilson's last words are.Makes it clear that she killed him b/c he tried to take her out in particular.

So your arguments are a look of anger from Miranda which, somehow, translates into her only caring about herself and something Wilson said. Wilson, not Miranda.

When Shepard talks about looking for other survivors before they leave. She's all like, "Meh..."

No, what she says is that they are expendable. Which is true, even Jacob agrees. That doesn't mean she doe not care, it simply means that the mission must come first. In this case, get Shepard safely off the station.

But apparently Miranda thinks she knows better than Jack Harper...

And apparently she did. Keeping to intel to himself, giving David Archer to the Grissom Academy, destroying the Collector Base. I'm sure TIM regretted not listening to Miranda.

Think what you will, my day is perfect, no reason to be mad about anything

You must mix me up with someone who actually cares about what you have to say. Funny stuff anyhow. xD
