Or a rachni for every member, ride those ****es into battle and watch your enemies jaws drop.

*Sunlight washes over the hill, a Krogan warlord is seen on the back of a Rachni warrior.*

"For the glory of Urdot and the Krogan race!" The warlord shouts to the skies.

*Suddenly hundreds then thousands of Krogans riding Rachni appear on the hilltop.*

"FORWAAAAARD!" The warlord roars.

*The Krogans and Rachni roar and screech as they charge down the hill and into the enemy lines. The indoctrinated proceed to s**t bricks.*

Well the Rachni cavalry did swoop in, and, well, swooping is bad.

Having a companion you can't really communicate with doesn't seem very easy. Then again I did love Dog in DA:O, so if anyone could pull it off, Bioware should be able to. : )

that's true if one thing could be said about bioware its that not only do they make gameplay fun, they make there stroy and re-play value so much sweeter. plus thats say you let the rachni live in the new game+ you can have one as a pet that the queen gives you

Well you know, Shepard needs all the allies he can get for the final fight so it may be necesary to get the rachni on his side.

i would totally want an ex collector and rachni squad mate to change things up that would be sick to have an acid spitting squad memeber run up while you stay back and snipe or a proethoen that fought indoctrination perhaps

thou that can be true but you kill (to our knowledge) all the collectors there are in the galxey.  plus we also learned from ME 1 that the proethoens were all killed as well but this time by the reapers

So far, all squadmates have needed to be bipeds so that they can share animations (especially during cutscenes) and all wield the same weapons.  I think an actual Rachni is out of the question. A queen controlled Asari would be a very interesting character, though.  The queen could even nest in the cargo hold so that Shepard could talk with her face to face, with the Asari acting as translater. They would be two squadmates in one. I'm sure the Rachni's telepathic influence would give this Asari character some unique abilities. However, having two (or three) Asari squadmates would be confusing.

They wouldn't. They already killed her. That's why this probably isn't going to happen.  The writers could make a pretty convincing explanation why the squadmate could be available whether Shepard killed the Rachni or not (More Cerberus Rachni clones) but it would feel lame because it would defeat the purpose of branching storylines.

Disscuss?

Perhaps, but Doctor Solus may have to shrink it so that it can fit through doors.  How do you shrink a rachni, you ask?  With a bonesaw and a lot of nerve.

Yeah, the only way to get a bipedal Rachni that isn't completely ridiculous would be the Asari host. I don't think we're going to get any beast-companions in ME3. Although...

Off topic: Is your avatar a GIF of Meta-Ridley from Metroid Prime? That's awesome.
