I believe 4chan have a fair few vids of people making the attempt though.

And babies don't care what is going on. They come whenever they damn well please. They don't care if you're broke; don't have the "perfect family"; trying to do something in your career; if it's WW2; or if the Reapers are invading. They don't care..
If you mess around, you run the chance of getting knocked up, or knocking someone up. Period...or lack thereof..lol.
Mind you, who knows what Cerberus did to you and your DNA while you were knocked out for 2 years. The whole thing gives me the willies. They coulda done anything they wanted, and w/ their rep. they probably did. You could have a baby Shep floating around in a vat as we speak....OMG.
As far as the Shepardess being knocked up...she could kick ass the first few weeks, but by the time it's baby bump...no. she would need to sit her azz down. But I tell you one thing, a pregnant Shepardess would be the craziest b*tch you ever meet in ur life. All those hormones pumping thru her? Oh... no...you don't even..she'll kill ya. Right away. She may cry about it later, but you'll still be dead.
So, idk, it would be an interesting twist. I mean, how do you deal w/ that in the middle of all this? And it would definitely heighten things to a personal level. You're not just fighting to save the galaxy, you're fighting to save your child. That's a whole 'nother level.
But it's hard to see that happening game wise. I would be interesting, but I think I'd have to give it a thumbs down. Epilogue..yeah, sure. In game...hmmmm

You really think the ban would be worth showing evidence?

Exactly. Rule 34 stands for a reason. You are more than welcome to visit the 4chan boards to check for yourself. BYO brainbleach, and I take no responsibility for any mental scarring that may result from your visit.

It might be worth the risk if it would garuntee no one on these boards would ever advocate for interspecies offspring again. Sadly, there's enough people who didn't pay attention in junior high biology that it's likely to keep coming up.KainrycKarr wrote...

We've only proved that humans can't impregnate chimpanzees (through artifical insemiation). No one's ever artifically insemitated a human female with chimpanzee sperm, so it could still work.
Also, how do we know quarians aren't mammals? We've never seen them out of their suits.

Mammal is a taxonomic classification limited to a specific members of the Animalia Kingdom, and the Chordata Phylum, and the Mammalia class.Inutaisho7996 wrote...

Quarians may have a lot in common with mammals -- or they may not -- but unless they share a common Mammalia ancestor, they are not mammals.

Tali's loyalty mission, if you talk to Shala'Raan, she discusses being in the room when Tali was born, and her being put into a bubble.
As for OP, who knows the viability of Shepard's sperm or ova after death.
Another consideration is FemShep. If she romanced Jacob, it's possible she could walk into her trial pregnant, if she were having sex with him up until then. If she romanced Kaidan, well anything conceived between Ilos Eve and Normandy attack would likely have been aborted/also dead, with it unlikely Lazarus reconstructed an embryo. There is a fantastic fanfic out there that mentions foreign DNA found in FemShep with regards to Project Lazarus.
During the mission, well that would be pure stupidity for anyone to get pregnant, and certainly pants-on-head stupid to have an "oopsie" pregnancy. A miscarriage would be highly likely in a battle situation, and especially in a fight could prove lethal. Yeah, might warrior Ashley takes a bullet the wrong way, has a spontaneous abortion, and dies of sepsis during the battle, great addition to the narrative! <_<
So no, little Shepards running around the Normandy as Auntie Tali tells stories and Uncle Garrus gives Reaper intel would be dumb. As epilogue, maybe.

Getting married and having kids suits other RPG's such as Fable a lot better since it has a resonable light heartted atmosphere, Mass Effect on the other hand is very distopian, Galactic genocide, poverty, war and slavery getting married and having children will kind of take a way a bit of that atmosphere also not many people will proberly want to get married and have children

I guess that means I have to stop claiming that male quarians have a brood pouch, and the females an ovipositor. Now I'm kinda sad....
