Things can change. Nothing is set in stone, but anyhow. Kids only in the epilogue, pwease. I don't necessarily need them, but it could be a nice touch for some. ;)

Stranger things have happened in the series. So dem babies are possible. No matter what ya say changes that, until devs say otherwise.

Why do people come up these terrible ideas? If I have to take my femShep or my maleSheps love interest on a mission while they are pregnant I will be completely let down and disappointed with Bioware. Not only that, but I will have Grunt or Wrex administer the Abortion Punch!

It were the DEVS who said it in the first place.

Miranda being sterile is established canon.

You not wanting to accept that doesn't make it untrue.

What about the people that didn't romance anyone? DOES NO ONE CARE FOR THEM? Or what about the ones who's romance died?

But yeah, I'd support them as being a optional squadmate for a later game. Again, optional. Depending on what you did and looked like. It's probably impossible.

I would, at least for an epilogue for Shepard in ME3.

Realistically of the romance options so far, Shepard could have children with Ashley, Jacob, Jack, Kaidan, possibly Miranda (though it'd have to be artificial most likely), James (should he be an LI) and Liara.

My main Shepard (fem vanguard)- I'd like for her to settle down and marry Jacob, son for her
Fem Sentinel- Little blue daughters with Liara
Male Infiltrator- Find someway to help Miranda have children, gender unimportant
Male Engineer- Jack, son for them

It'd be interesting to see mixed species children but it's probably impossible since there have been no mixed species characters in the entire ME universe. It's probably like Dragon Age where the children of two races are always one race no matter what.

Human + Turian or Quarian hybrid would be impossible because of the very different body chemicals, organs & structures, though Quarian may be easier because they are somewhat humanoid.

Epilogue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or like a discussion with your LI in game about the future....but that's all. I don't actually want to see it happen.

I'm sure that ship's counsellor/ stripper would have one. She'd just need the right buttons pressed.

Don't get me wrong. I daydream about shep having kids in his own way with his LI. I just don't feel that it would fit the setting, especially hybrids.

That would be a really funny consequence especially for the Renegade options of sleeping with the Consort or Jack. I think there's a funny picture with Shepard and every other female crew member and it says achievement unlocked reaperduction. Rofl!

Those pictures didn't bother me. Hybridization has been in science fiction for about as long as I can remember so I'm not skeeved by the idea of such.

I do have to note how people stretch things to the point that it doesn't make sense. I don't know if anyone actually specified that they want an LI to follow them on missions while exhibiting signs of pregnancy. It's the same kind of behavior that's attributed to [some] women in that they don't make a logical leap, but go beyond the scope of what's being discussed and make conclusions that don't fit.

Mass effect is not that kind of Sci fi. Hybridization has been confirmed to NOT be in through lore.

I don't understand all the hate? What is wrong with pregnancy, why shouldn't it be brought into the game? Give one -valid- reason why it shouldn't. I don't see how this.. can be an argument, before people lash out with.. "ME isn't a simdate game", or something of the likes.
It isn't, we all know that, it'll be an added option down the line with your LI. You really think Bioware will play the trump card. "Uuuh, one night stand, you're preggers?", no, I doubt they will, that'd be unproffessional of Shepard AND really go against his/her beliefs. The game isn't based around some strumpet/man**** who's intent is to fratanise and have their way with as many men/women/alien as they can.

Regardless of allignments Para/Rene, saving the galaxy from the Reapers is his/her priority, thus, with the intent to "knock up" squad members and those whom can rear children/beimpregnated is by default, botched.

Now, that does leave open a few things, chopping and changing between characters? I do believe that'll be where some of this conflict BW are talking about would kick in, after making such promises and putting forward an opinion of wanting children with said character, then the next time turn them down. After all, this is futuristic, not modern day. ((Teenagepregnancy in space? Lulwhat?))

Quite honestly, it's a damn great idea to deepen the RP aspect of the game, rather than have your generic stories, something new, something great. I hope they don't back on their decision, like the past with same sex relationships, twice now I believe? This should be a chosen element, yes, as should s/s relationships(which hopefully won't be removed), not revoked and torn out of the game.

Bioware doesn't like to deal with children sired by the PC in their games. The only exception I can think of is the OGB in DA, which never materializes in the game anyways.

Bioware writers have said this a few times, like Gaider. I don't have a link though.

If that is true, why hasn't it been revoked that it will -not- be happening?

Do you really need the devs to waste their time by stepping in to every lame arsed fanboi request thread to say "not happening"?

Exactly. Besides Bioware marketing is more of whats added, rather than whats not happening or cut.

Sure why not I think that One of the endings will be be Shepard dying, and in which case for the sake of DLC you should play his/or her child.

I'm giving the BSN the benefit of the doubt and theorizing that those wanting hybrids come from a fantasy background, or maybe even star wars that allow that kind of thing. He'll even dragon age has it in a limited way.

Personally, I blame 'Star Trek'.

In the recent re-imagined Battlestar Galactica TV show humans could mate and have children with the Cylons.
