And there are people out there who complained about DA:O DLCs. Anyway seems DA:2 is leading into a similar direction like ME:2 were BW tries to fill the gap between DA:2 and DA:3 with content.

Another side mission or weapon pack will be ridiculous. I enjoyed the dlcs enough so far, but you can barely use all the equipment as it is, without having even more extra ones, it also makes buying weapons etc redundant, It really needs an expansion pack for the poor third act and the ending

I think you read too much into it. Actually Fernando talks about that BW will discuss about the Future of Dragon Age, no more.  No Announcement. He made his point that BW will take their time for future content. I think he is referring to PAX. Check out the schedule and the section Dragon Age – The Future.

ALL OF MY RAGE!!!!!!! Another item pack and the Legacy demo? Bioware has to hate us right? I just registered my $150 star wars game of theirs too. They aren't even trying to be subtle in their hype/money grubbing anymore. But then again I can't blame them cause I'll just end up buying item pack 2. But damn it's getting hard to defend Bioware to my friends anymore. Damn man, just damn.

I agree, but the Item packs need to stop, 1 fair enough but you can only equip on set of armour, and that automatically makes say if im a mage, the rouge and warrior pointless, noone can equip it and you can only sell it for 1coin. Plus you cant equip secondery weapons on da2 so thats another slot you cant use a weapon. Theres just no need for more equipment imo wish theyd concentrate on better quality dlc like legacy

I bought the first item pack and enjoyed it... but I'll probably skip this item pack. Deus Ex HR is out next Tuesday and that's going to munch up a ton of my time. A DA2 expansion or even a DLC would put DEHR on the back burner in a heartbeat, but an item pack? I might pick it up when the next story DLC/XPack comes out.

Same here. Not buying an Item pack. Legacy was excellent but Item packs are utterly unnecessary.

First of all, the panel at gamescom wasn't that bad, been there today.

Only Fernado and Chris have been there, both quite talkative without resorting to marketing phrases. They openly admitted lots of mistakes made with DA2 - and what and how they can try to correct at least somewhat with future DLC and going beyond DA2.

That said, regarding the item pack, Fernando said the first one sold very well. So, in my view, they'd be studid not to capitalise on this, like they did with ME2 as well. After all it's optional and not required for anything.

The next story DLC will be announced at PAX. They said we should pay attention to the shirts they dev's are wearing there...
We've seen one screenshot, one of Hawke riding a Wyvern. Looked quite stunning, but no info about it. Their only comment was, they were not supposed to show it, but yes, we'll have mounts for the first time in Dragon Age.

Regarding DLC, there is further story DLC in the works beyond the one to be announced at PAX. Also they said they want to bring the DA2 story to a "conclusion" before moving on to the next chapter.

So, let me say thanks to Fernando and Chris for an entertaining hour, and thnks again for the free swag.

Unless I suddenly jump up 10 levels, I'm not seeing the need for more items.. Unless these new outfits fit in between the current DLC armour sets in terms of level, which seems unnecessary, I'd think the only way to go is up? Or are they really just to look different while replaying the game?

I hope it's the former, that could mean extra significant gameplay content relatively soon. Either way, I'll hold off buying unless something like an expansion comes along that they'll be useful in or they look less radical than the last item pack (it would be worth the small change in my pocket to replace those meat cleavers Isabela's wielding with daggers).
