ALL OF MY MONEY
I would pay immediately. Hell I would pay $60 just to see an entire cinematic experience of Oghren doing just that for hours on end.
The obituaries would say that I died of laughter, with a large laughing smile on my face and a horrifying thing playing on my television (to them it would be horrifying, but they wouldn't understand).

What?!
If he does ride a dragon, it'd be kind of cheesy, not to mention once a again screwing up the lore. Dragons are smart and viscious, not friendly things that can be used as mounts like horses.
Unless he's riding Flemeth.
... that sounded better in my head...
wait... what? What version of DA2 did you play? My Hawke never got to ride Flemeth.

Not necessarily. I always assumed Flemeth just cleared a path for them but they proceeded to Gwaren on foot.Sylvianus wrote...
Not sure if this is serious this time. Yes of course. To go to Gwaren ( ferelden ) , Hawk and his family got to ride Flemeth. Gwaren to cross the sea and arrive at Kirkwall on a boat.

Well, I don't see why Flemeth would lose so much time. She seemed in a hurry, and she said she had an appointment she couldn't miss. Losing so much time walking, just cleared a path for them, when in flight, it may take less time ? I doubt it.harkness72 wrote...

Then Varric, says Hawk rides a dragon to Cassandra and that's how he reached Gwaren. It never comes to my mind that it would be otherwise.
Now I know this is a framed narrative, and I know that Varric might lie, but to be honest, I'm tired of this style that can justify anything without being sure of anything. I hope we'll not find this again in DA3.

Cassandra: If you tell me they all flew to Kirkwall on a dragon
Varric: Nothing so fanciful, I assure you.
There are a couple of scenarios that could've gone down:
1) Flemeth flew them to Gwaren, where they took a ship to Kirkwall.
2) Flemeth used a powerful spell to teleport them to Gwaren. Since it's Flemeth, and she is something else entirely, it's entirely possible.
The former is more likely though. Here's a map of Ferelden:

Senior Producer Fernando Melo and Chris Priestly held a Q&A panel at Gamescom where they talked about the future of the series. They admitted they made a lot of mistakes with Dragon Age II, which they are working on fixing in future DLC and instalments.
Alongside the admission came the news that the next story-driven DLC would be announced at PAX. Furthermore, they "accidentally" showed a picture of Hawke on the back of a dragon, possibly indicating the introduction of mounts in future DLC.
Other interesting titbits include:
It is "absolutely possible" that we will see both Hawke and The Warden again.
We will see Sister Nightingale again, "sooner than we think".
Morrigan is an absolutely critical character, and it is "very likely" that we will hear of or encounter both her and the Warden once again.
Future time spent in Kirkwall will be short-lived, as the devs don't want to spend too much time in an area which has been thoroughly explored.
We will see other cities in the Free Marches such as Starkhaven.
Sandal is a "pretty special" character, and fans will "have to see" what happens in relation to his prophecy
Not sure if all that has been posted.

Morrigan has also responded to my warden when I asked her the question. How Flemeth has saved him in the tower : something like : maybe she has transformed herself into a giant eagle and took you in its claws.
Now The Ethereal, from my point of view, if Flemeth turns into a dragon and fly from one point to another, that is precisely because she lacks the ability to teleport, even with a magic potion. I doubt it.

And before you arrive to your boat at Gwaren to cross the sea until Kirkwall. How did you travel to Gwaren ( Ferelden ) from your lost place, surrounded by darkspawn ?Melca36 wrote...

She never said it was a giant eagle. Just said she transformed into a giant bird. Maybe it was a gigantic pigeon
And fair point. She either can't teleport, or chooses not to. Who knows. But she is able to move from place to place by transferring bits of her into amulets. That can be seen as teleportation.
Interestingly enough, what she did is kinda similar to what the Arcane Warrior did in the Brecilian Forest Ruins.

Unless they overhaul the DA2 facemorph system, maybe its better we don't see the Warden's face again, unless we can modify it.Mike Smith wrote...

*Yawn* They've been saying this for quite some time now. And again, since its not likely we'll ever play as the Warden (or Hawke for that matter) as PC's again, I'd almost rather the devs not try to have them off doing stuff my Warden or my Hawke wouldn't be doing.Mike Smith wrote...

Even if Hawke or The Warden aren't the main PC's in future games, I would LOVE it if they gave us the option to play as them in small segments- not unlike how TW2 handled playing as characters besides Geralt at times.
Before we're done with Kirkwall, I hope there is an option to just nuke it from orbit- just burn it all down. That would be satisfying.Mike Smith wrote...

Meh....thus far all DA ever does is tease with vague prophecies and bloated mystery speak with no follow through and payoff. I'll believe it when I see it.Mike Smith wrote...

We know that Sandal is half-dwarf and the son of an Aeducan. His other parent was either an elf or a human.

Maybe it's just me, though this doesn't sound like DLC material. This sounds like a full blown expansion pack.
He did explicitly mention that Awakening did well in sales and was well received when the possibility of an expac was brought up, so I wouldn't be surprised.

We actually (back in the DA2 days, right around when we were crunching to get the E3 demo together) roughed together a scene where Hawke and family were actually riding on the back of a dragon. Due to absolutely no animations existing for this, it looked hilariously awful. I still wish we'd found some way to put it in the game as an easter egg, because it really had to be seen to be believed.

Send it to me and I will put it as the background for one of my episodes
