Jack. Her dialogue before her loyalty mission was the most painful set of dialogue I had to listen to. It goes from her being completely normal hanging out in her crappy anti-social den to saying some crazy nutzo stuff about bugs in her head. Her childhood was hell, it's pretty understandable that she's kind of screwed up. And the line you quoted was her going through some turmoil because she was being reminded of what it was like to be a vulnerable child.

I don't care if there legitimate reason for her to be nutzo. It's annoying.  I don't care how powerful someone is, if they are crazy, you don't bring them on a spaceship for an important mission. Just like no one in the NFL wants to sign Terrel Owens anymore, he may be good, but he's nuts. Speaking about her power, she destroys between 2 and 3 heavy mechs in like 4 seconds, but is never again useful in combat as a squadmate. Mostly because shockwave blows. Bioware should at least made her powers believeable though. Also... Nipple straps and a shaved head... come on.

At some point, just about everyone annoys me in some way, but those biggest trolls have got to be:

-- Liara: her VA is god-awful, she's made to be a lot more important to the story than she really has to be, not a fan of girls with her kind of childish disposition.
-- Jacob: he makes a habit of questioning Shepard's orders and when he opens his mouth, crap comes out... a lot. Someone like him has to earn the right to say the kinds of things that he says. He also likes to bring up things over the course of his miserable conversations just so he can whine about them. Waaah Alliance, Waaah I don't trust these Cerberus creeps even though I am one...
-- Grunt: the krogan-adolescent shtick gets old after a while and his character rarely gets any deeper than that.

She doesn't have a "childish disposition", for all intents and purposes, she IS a child.

Which also makes her scary, but that's another discussion.

I've never really been annoyed by any of the characters, except the ones that spew, "I will destroy you!" a million times a fight. *yawn* And no, I don't mean Jack.

But as far as an actual character? Hmm. I love all of the squadmates, but the one that kind of annoys me is Tali, if I had to pick one. For NPCs...the most obvious would be Khalisah al-Jilani.

She did have some interesting stuff to say on most of the characters though, so I can forgive her. Otherwise, I don't find any of them that annoying tbh.

Jack, Miranda, Ashley, Liara, about 50% of Asari I meet, most Salarians except for Mordin, Kelly Chambers, TIM, Valley Quarian, Thane (sometimes), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Virmire Survivor, Udina, Grunt, Keeper #20. Threshermaws that don't eat reapers.

Jacob because he wasn't developed further, there could have been so much more interesting dialouge with him (Corsiar work, etc.) and he was randomly a (not nice person) to half the squaddies and shep occassionally.

She's not annoying as a character, its just that line. Same goes for the 'sorry for the inconvenience' Turian.
