Because it's an awesome dialogue that describes the final meeting between Socrates and his students.

I agree, he's awesome and he's contributed a lot here. I don't see why not.

I don't either. He helped dispell many rumors with his thread that Bioware either couldn't or wouldn't do themselves. He helped them out. I don't see how a little appreciation on their part through an easter egg would hurt anyone.

Oy, a double period emphasis.

Such antagony.

I simply don't want some random guy from a videogame forum to appear in a game like Mass Effect 3. It's a crappy idea.

Um, it's Phaedon. He ain't random.

Phaedon is doing a great job with the 'Confirmed features'-thread, but he's still just a user on an internet forum. Just because you spend a lot of time on the game's official forum, doesn't mean that you should be featured in that game.

I have nothing against Phaedon. I just don't like the idea.

There's a difference between dispelling rumors,  and blindly clinging to "Bioware is always right,  Bioware would never do anything wrong".  Phaedon falls into the second catagory.  He quite literally refuses to see,  or address criticism or counterpoint,  reposting the same quotes endlessly despite the arguements that bring it into question.  Review the ME3 Multiplayer thread,  he posts and posts and reposts one quote,  without dealing with the counterpoints that call the ambiguity into question.

Does he coalesce large amounts of good information?  Certainly,  but he's also Bioware's self-appointed defender,  and is thus far unable to deal with counterpoints to his arguements.  In that capacity,  he's actually more harmful than helpful,  because he is not conducive to back and forth debate,  which requires individuals to actually debate rather than insult or resort to hyperbole until the opposite parties are tired of repeating the same statements.  A review of the Bioware RPG features thread that went over 100 pages demonstrates this,  as quite often throughout the thread he resorts to hyperbole or exaggeration,  frustrating opposing debaters into abandoning the thread.

As such,  I would put forth AlanC9,  Il Divo,  or In Exile as equal canidates,  while they do not coalesce information,  they are conducive to good debate and discussion,  which in turn fosters a healty community.  Equally so,  TerrorK as he poses interesting questions that Bioware could datamine to obtain valuable information.

If Phaedon would improve his debating tactics,  and actually discuss things instead of repeating ambiguous quotes or clearly wrong data,  I'd be right on board even though we don't agree.  But I don't see that happening any time soon.

@Gatt9 - Are you referring to Phaedon's "Known Features" thread or just his general way of engaging in dialogue when you say he lacks debating skills? If the latter, even if he were some lunatic howling at the moon that wouldn't make his "Known Features" thread any less helpful. If the former, I can't say I agree with you. His sources seem to legitimize what he reports as "known features" to me.

why do I say this? Because of his constant community work. So far I have seen him making lots of interesting threads hell he started the chat room. Anyway, am I the only one who feels this way?

And he promotoed Mass Effect Chronicals.

And he wrote a story for a Mass Effect Adventure game I never finished making. :o

So yes.  There should be a unique keeper on the citadel named Phaedon.  One that is too far away to interact with, so we'll actually never realize it was named Phaedon.

I guess it would be cool if there was a special thanks to the BSN community in the credits; not so sure about singling out one fan though.

Referencing popular ideas or jokes we've made, however, would be cool.
