through multiple playthroughs (attempted), the game has crashed every single time i try to enter lowtown during the day only. This starts happening once i get to act 2. act 1 it is fine. this even stretches into act 3, which prevents me from finishing the game (very frustrating). I have not modded my game in any way.

I've tried it while having the "night terrors" quest available, and also while not accepting that quest just to see if that had an effect on it. I've dropped down to DX9 (which by the way got rid of some other random crashes due to cutscenes). I've lowered my graphics everything else I can possibly think of on my end to fix the crash problem.

I could use some serious help, or a point in the right direction to a known fix for this issue. not being able to do the night terrors quest is bad enough, but not being able to complete the game? :(

below are my system specs.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.6GHz)
RAM: 8gb ddr3
VGA: 2x NVIDIA GeForce gtx 460 in SLI (VRAM: 1gb) (driver version 280.26)
Audio: Speakers (Creative SB X-Fi) (driver version 6.0.1.1348)
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium  Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
DX version: DX11 (June 2010 or later)

Most common cause of a crash in a specific location over multiple plays is corrupted file. First step is to try and correct that, if steam verify game integrity, if other then reinstall.

Have you updated the game?
If this doesn't fix, check back, also how did you purchase the game?

funny, as you were probably responding to this i found the "verify integrity of game cache" button under DA2 properties (after digging around on the internet trying to fix my problem). ran that and it found 5 corrupted files, which it proceeded to download and install/update.

thank you for your input. i figured that was the problem. i guess i just didn't know how to go about fixing corrupted files with Steam since i couldn't find a "repair" button right on the DA2 loading screen or under config.
