I'll be there on saturday from 9 - 17. Any chance of still joining in?
I fear Saturday is about the least of our problems as some (if not most) of us will be early to have a seat in the ME3 presentation and won't be out searching for Priestly for the better part of the day. And of course we'll see him in that presentation too.
Yeah I see. How early do you reckon you'd have to be to get one of those prized seats? (will hardly attend, I want to see some other stuff too on my only day there
). How long do are the queues on average to get into gamescom in the morning and to actually play some ME3?
Would be really grateful for answers on this.
I can't tell exactly because for one I have a Communty Lounge Pass and don't need to tend to the normal demo exposition, but I surely can tell that when around 17:00-18:00 the queues were still noticable (half an hour at least). Early in the morning, say you sweep there the instant Gamescom opens doors for the public, the wait should be fairly reasonable.
As for the seats, I honestly can't know. Todays DAII panel was hardly stretched with at max 20 people attending (was quite relaxed thus, yay) and with DAII not really being a high-level gig this year, it can hardly compare. Additionally, Saturday should be a bit more filled than Thursday or Friday (weekend obviously) so ME3 panel might very well be crowded.
What I would recommend (and will do myself) is to go there about four to three hours early and in your case speak to the EA Community Lounge helpers (lovely and very helpful young people I can tell with first hand experience (no, not THIS kind of "first-hand" experience you perverts, whoever you are!)) and ask for a Wildcard. In case they provide you with one (and from what I heard, everyone daring to ask early enough for them to have some of these, you will get one) you are priviliged before normal allendants without Community Lounge Pass or Wildcard as far as I understood the organizational part.
Anyway, I'll be waiting there early on to get my seat and you won't be alone if you decide to accompany at early times (I am the guy with the pirate-tie).
