I'll be there on saturday from 9 - 17. Any chance of still joining in?

I fear Saturday is about the least of our problems as some (if not most) of us will be early to have a seat in the ME3 presentation and won't be out searching for Priestly for the better part of the day. And of course we'll see him in that presentation too.

Yeah I see. How early do you reckon you'd have to be to get one of those prized seats? (will hardly attend, I want to see some other stuff too on my only day there :( ). How long do are the queues on average to get into gamescom in the morning and to actually play some ME3?

Would be really grateful for answers on this.

I can't tell exactly because for one I have a Communty Lounge Pass and don't need to tend to the normal demo exposition, but I surely can tell that when around 17:00-18:00 the queues were still noticable (half an hour at least). Early in the morning, say you sweep there the instant Gamescom opens doors for the public, the wait should be fairly reasonable.

As for the seats, I honestly can't know. Todays DAII panel was hardly stretched with at max 20 people attending (was quite relaxed thus, yay) and with DAII not really being a high-level gig this year, it can hardly compare. Additionally, Saturday should be a bit more filled than Thursday or Friday (weekend obviously) so ME3 panel might very well be crowded.

What I would recommend  (and will do myself) is to go there about four to three hours early and in your case speak to the EA Community Lounge helpers (lovely and very helpful young people I can tell with first hand experience (no, not THIS kind of "first-hand" experience you perverts, whoever you are!)) and ask for a Wildcard. In case they provide you with one (and from what I heard, everyone daring to ask early enough for them to have some of these, you will get one) you are priviliged before normal allendants without Community Lounge Pass or Wildcard as far as I understood the organizational part.

Anyway, I'll be waiting there early on to get my seat and you won't be alone if you decide to accompany at early times (I am the guy with the pirate-tie).

Thank you very much! I'll see what I can do and will be sure to say hi if we meet. (I don't know what I'll be wearing but will probably look "slightly" tired after a night on the train ;)

Then don't wear white or black. It makes one's eyes prominent. I'd say a light grey or something colorful, that keeps the attention from the eyes.

Gosh, now look at me, giving cosmetic tipps ... as a guy nontheless. Image IPB

Okay, ... Gamescom is over, the team did unfortunately not work out (I don't care, I got my swag and my time talking to him, having a beer (Coke in my case) ... muehehe), but I got a last little treat for you guys out there that didn't make it to either Priestly or the Gamescom:

I have stole- err, come into possession of seven codes for the XBL Normandy SR2 Avatar prop and will give them out to the first seven people that say please in here (no PMs please!). I do not guarantee these codes are working, but I haven't used them or anything like that so I don't think there'll be any problems.

Chewin3, I did not forget you, I have sent a PM containing a code for you! Image IPB

Worth a shot, please?

I daresay events in England in September might be more fruitful for a hunting mission, I know the game will be there but might Chris...

Only one XBL prop remaining!

edit://
I fear Priestly will not be able to go to England, if I understood him correctly that is. What I definetely can say is that he'd love to go, but everything is business Image IPB

He is a great guy to talk to, about Mass Effect, or Dragon Age, jobs or just chatting whilst having a drink. A real nice person, ... just don't make him mad, you don't like Priestly when he gets mad. And don't send his grandmother chocolate.

And don't feed him after midnight ;)
I wish I could have gone too but my financial situation didn't allow it  =/
Well, hopefully Bioware will have something to show next year too.
I'll try to make it to GDC Europe and Gamescom.

So what did Chris have to say about jobs (at Bioware? :3)

Thanks again for the code by the way. You rock ^_^

Why should he, I am charming his ego after all. Or did you want to imply something? Image IPB
