Ok i was just wondering what everyone thought would happen with the geth and quarian situation.Of course we
know that the quarians plan on taking back their homeworld in ME3. But what happens if somehow the heretics on that planet hook up to the legions geth truth?? Im wondering will the Geth still want to keep that planet, and the quarians and true geth still go to war pitting legion and tali against each other with shepard in the middle of it all.

just wanna know everyones thoughts in detail if you want because this and the genophage are the two things im really looking forward to resolving.  (besides the reapers of course)

thanks

If I have to chose, the geth. I really have no doubts about that one.

If it comes down to a choice, I'm choosing the Geth. Sorry Tali. :(

If peace isn't possible and I have a choice, I'm choosing the geth. They have a huge army and lots of ships.

I'd choose the Geth. Frankly I'm sick of the quarians' collective attitude about the whole thing. We get it, they drove your people from the homeworld, now SHUT UP.

Strategically: Geth
Morally: Leaning geth, they never did anything wrong except exist. But the quarians who deserved the fate they got are long dead.
Hmmmmmmmm....

I'm for peace. I don't see why anyone's initial stance should be choosing any particular side, especially when the Reapers are coming. There's also a thread in the Character and Romance section that discusses this.

Morally? I support the geth. They were in the right to defend themselves from the quarians.

If it came down to a war? I'd reluctantly support the quarians. They are our organic brothers, and they've had a rough time of it.

I like Tali's loyalty mission because of this. The admiralty board are split on this. One wants to destroy them, one wants to study them so they can make them their slaves again and another is pushing for piece.
Its all moral grey for me. I don't think we can afford to lose either side with the Reapers coming but if I have to chose then the Geth because with Legion rewriting the heretics they will be a huge army.
Meanwhile even if you side with the Quarians their not gonna help you until they get their homeplanet back thats casualties on both sides with the Reapers thats just stupid.

I think that supporting peace during Tali's loyalty mission may be a hint that you can foster peace between the two groups so that you won't have to choose. But I think it's especially telling to bring Legion along to that loyalty mission. When you're talking to Admiral vas Qwib Qwib, you can ask Legion whether peace is possible; Legion says that 100% of the time, when Quarians believed they could conquer the Geth, they have attacked, so how can the Geth believe that any peace treaty would hold?

Quarians were the agressors in the Morning War, and since then they haven't considerated the dialogue or diplomacy. So if I have to sacrifice any of them, it would be the quarians.

I can't save everyone. Remember Tsun Tzu words, "He who protects everything protects nothing.”

I like Tali, but the quarians crossed the line. Geth will be saved in all my playthroughs if it comes to this.

The quarians. The geth are just playing around with that Dyson sphere.

If the Quarians and Geth go to war against one another, I will not intervene. They deserve each other IMO.

If I'm forced to chose (no option for peace), the Geth. It's not their fault they were created. They are sentient, sapient, and only want their Dyson sphere and to exist in peace. The quarians should be ashamed of their behavior toward the geth.

This. The Geth defended themselves against the Quarian's rash attempt at Genocide. The Quarians lost. Simple as. I don't see how the Quarians can complain about being nearly wiped out in the war when that's exactly what they were trying to do to the Geth. The Geth were merely following the example of their creators.

Ok guys, think about it like this:

If Peace can no tbe had, then what are the options. We have the Quarians, who maintain an impressive Flotilla. These ships can provide transport for essential supplies, weapons, and possible escape for civilizations across the Galaxy.
On the other hand, we have the Geth, a machine race with impressive military might that is an known unkown. We do not understand their intentions and or motivations.

If Push came to Shove, I would side with the Quarians. The Geth have been overwritten once, and I bet they can be overwritten again. It simply isn't like indoctronatiing biological sentients, due to the fact that infecting one isn't essentially infecting the whole. Remember, a simple rewrite could be the end of the Geth. If given a chance, I would perfer to destroy the Geth.

Dude, their flotilla is comprising of ages old ships that are kept working by constant patching nad repairing. Total junk!
