Hey there, mass effect fans! :)

I have theoary, maybe cerberus can be ally in ME3 depending on choices of ME2. Because it doesn`t make sense that cerberus while turn on you if you choiced to give legion and collector base to them. . So what do you think?

By the way in E3 demo of ME3 Shepards face was heald, so it means that paragon path was played in ME2.

No, Cerberus are definitely enemies in ME3 for at least some duration of the game regardless of previous choice and the med bay upgrade gets rid of the scars even if you're still renegade.

I would have preferred this being the case, though.

Destroy the base: Have your 40% Cerberus baddies.
Keep the base: Keep Cerberus as your allies, other factions (mercs?) take their place as baddies. Maybe encounter a squad or two who actually are indoctrinated.

Depends what cerberus are actually doing. Your scenario might not make sense when we find out what TIMs endgame is.

Maybe if Cerberus is indoctrinated, one plot arc will be breaking their indoctrination and get them back on our side. Could be interesting, especially considering how the various governments feel about them in general. Just guessing.

Speculation is the name of the game but u can see the directions that bioware are taking certain things and one direction is cerberus as a primary enemy why we dont know how we dont know but we have 2 demos with them as enemies magazine articles with them as enemies and website articles with them as enemies

Plus. we don't yet know WHY they are working with the Reapers. Indoctrination is the easy answer. But the Reapers are powerful enough to wipe out every single species in the galaxy. TIM may be banking on the Reapers lasting just long enough to kill most of the other galactic species before Shepard stops them. It'd solidify humanity's dominance for years to come. In the end, TIM and Cerberus may be an enemy just to delay Shepard from stopping the Reapers too soon. Who knows? Buy allies... no... no they need to die if Humanity ever has a chance to truly be seen as equals in the eyes of the other Council races.

Sure, that much I am aware of, but having your ME2 endgame decision have such consequences would be more impressive than TIM just turning against you regardless.

Hmm it does seem to be the case, but we have yet to know how choices shape the game over all. Bioware has been pretty big on all the choices adding up.

Cerberus as Ally hmm... ?   My feeling is that the Illusive Man regards Shepard now as too independent from Cerberus control - and does not appear to share all the same goals as Cerberus. Shepard and crew KNOW TOO MUCH - about the ruthless methods Cerberus has employed everywhere !

Remember the data download on Cerberus Activities that could have been sent to the Aliiance, returned to Cerberus - or saved to the Normandy... ?

I bet there's EVIDENCE  of High Crimes and Treason - and all directed by the Illusive Man !

What if he's become aware that  the evidence was decoded by EDI ?

What if Shepard decides to disclose that information at the Admiralty board hearing ?

Even if Shepad did not decide to disclose all those misdeeds... that knowledge could convince all those Cerberus members on the Normandy - to repudiate the agency entirely.

The scene that follows is a bit satire on the question of  "Leaving Cerberus".

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Scene:  On the Bridge of the Normandy......

Miss Kelly Chambers:  "Commander .... You...You're still wearing the Cerberus patch ? !!!  But - WHY ?"
( Jaw drops )

Shepard:  "Good Question Kelly... Well....Sure I got nasty attack-virus encoded death threats from the Illusive Man,
YES  - he sent me a mail bomb with a nuke in it,
YES -  Liara, Garrus and I nearly had our ASSES BLOWN OFF on Sur'Kesh,
and YES - I know he's sending more Death Squads to kill me - and everyone on the Normandy...

Miss Kelly Chambers:   "Commander - given all of that...and the fact that everyone aboard the Normandy has dumped the organization.....  Ma'am -  We've ALL SWORN to follow you to Hell and back !  So why would you want to show allegiance to Cerberus now ?"

Shepard:    "Miss Chambers - I don't expect you to understand - but one does NOT just turn one's back on such an OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION !!!  I owe them my life !  So - WHERE'S THE LOVE ?   Look.... I'm just giving the Illusive Man time to change his mind."

Miss Kelly Chambers:   ( Jaw hits the floor )

( The Commander turns and enters the elevator.  As the elevator doors close...Kelly begins banging her head against the console in perplexed frustration.. )

( The Commander goes back to her private quarters... at the desk there is a framed photo of the Illusive Man....)

Shepard:  ( looks at the photo )     "I wish i could quit you ! "

Dude, no.  First off, it's a demo made specifically for exhibition.  The devs could set the variables to whatever they felt like.  Second, even if that was an imported Shep (doubtful, but possible): Med-bay Upgrade.

yeah, they're pushing the whole "twist" of cerberus becoming the enemy again too quick and easy. they've been SUPER tight lipped about everything else in the game.

i have a feeling they become allies again halfwaythrough the game or something.

The whole reason why Cerberus have 'allied' themselves with the reapers regardless of Shepards actions in ME2 is explained in the four part Mass Effect: Invasion (comic) series which starts in October. Untill then nobody really knows.

However previews suggest that Samara in particular was correct in her assertion that "the illusive man thought he had the wisdom to utilize the collector base but he does not" and now as a result of that lack of wisdom he has gotten his whole organization hijacked by the Reapers by underestimating the indoctrination power of the Reaper artifacts found in the ruins of the collector base after they had set up research bases on the other side of the Omega-4 relay. That's the long and short of it (basically) as Zaeed would say.

Legion is the only thing in terms of enemies that they have ever lied about. For good reasons, too.
