Why are curse words censored?

Kind of curious is all. I mean sure they can be offensive, but people can figure out what word it is based on the context and we've seen these words in BW games anyways...

Curse words are censored because we don't want them in our forums. We like to think that our community members are mature enough and educated enough to be able to find non-curse words to express themselves. If you must "curse," please use one of the many made-up curse words found in sci-fi and fantasy fiction, or some other euphemism. Thank you.
