I apologize if this is somewhat taboo in this community (if it is, tell me and I'll stop), but I'm trying to make a Sand soundset for Icewind Dale 1. I know I'd have to lower the volume of the sounds, maybe do some cutting, maybe convert to a different format, etc., but I'm knowledgable enough about that. Unfortunately, I don't know where to start in actually finding the sounds... Can anyone help?

Places that have various sounds from the game:

All paths start with <install drive>/ Program Files/ Atari/ Neverwinter Nights 2/ ...

/ Ambient (also the _X1 and _x2 folders if you have expansions)
/ Music (_x1 and _x2)
/ Data/ Sounds (_x1 and _x2)
/ Data/ SoundSets (_x1 and _x2)

If you have nwn2 installed via Steam, nwn2 is in program files > Steam > steamapps > common > Neverwinter nights 2

Hmm, couldn't find any of Sands sounds in there, but I found them in the VO folder. Unfortunately, they won't play at all.

Edit: Er, huh, Windows Media Player will play them, but none of the convertion programs I have will open any of them. I assume the compression used is kind of odd. Is there another program that will work?

Edit2: Horray! A friend and I managed to edit the sounds and get a set of them working as a soundset for Icewind Dale 1.^_^
