Glad to see someone else that liked Arrival while I wouldn't list it as a favorite it was enjoyable and unique (going solo) not to mention it got me pumped for ME 3.

Yep, I've always really liked Arrival. Not sure why so many slag it, since the format is basically a refined version of LotSB's. Minus the blatant Liara service and Mary Sue-ism, of course--which is probably why people hate it.

I liked Arrival for all the same reasons as you did, Marshal, I just liked Vermire and the SM more.

I think some people dislike Arrival because it doesn't provide much in the way of either 'big choices' or fan-service.

I dislike it because everyone has a flamethrower, and everytime I see Kenson I just want to shoot her in the face, especially when she makes that derp face when you reach her.

Hmm, tough choice.

Feros, Virmire, Ilos, Battle of the Citadel, Lair of the Shadow Broker, and Arrival (although Arrival doesn't flow well with ME2's main plot. But then again, ME2's main plot was disappointing anyway. Arrival at least brought the Reapers back to the front.). Too many choices.

But I have to go with Lair, with the rest of the list above not far behind.

Only thing I really disliked about LotSB was the fist fight scene with the huge bigger than krogan foe... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT CRAP!? Imma gonna punch this 3 meter tall guy to the mouth! He could just bash Shepard to death!

Arrival was good, I think people were just annoyed that there was no familiar squadmates there. But it had one of my favourite characters from ME universe: Admiral Hackett! So it was awesome.

Virmire, Battle of the Citadel, LotSB and the Collector Base are some of my favorites. I hate Arrival but not for any story related reasons, running to the ship before the countdown ended was hard on Normal and I plan on doing it on Insanity, not fun.

I think it is unrealistic when people expect a "big choice" in a bridging DLC since since continuity has to be accounted for and not everyone has access to DLC.

ME1:
UNC: Geth Incursion
Bring Down the Sky
The last act (Ilos and the endgame)

ME2: I have to say almost every mission in 2 was amazing, but if I had to chose I would say:
Kasumi's Loyalty Mission, LotSB, Arrival, and Tali's Recruitment and Loyalty Mission.

I don't see why people even like the suicide mission. It's not like there's any build up to it like the end run in ME1.

Not sure why so many slag it

Because it has a predictable story, no new gameplay concepts, no real interesting decisions, no boss fights and no banter.

I'd like to add one, one of those really spacious moments - when you're gravboot-scaling the Citadel Tower in ME1, and Sovy can be seen just RIGHT UP THERE, digging into the tower and being all epic and stuff. Really powerful moment.

So you don't give a crap that the reapers were minutes away, blew up a star system, and talked to a reaper?

All of which Lair also had (or lacked) with the exception of boss fights, of which only Tela Vasir's was notable in that it was the first time we saw anyone but Shepard use charge. Oh wait, it did have that one banter you could trigger for Liara in the engine room of SB's ship. BEST. DLC. EVAR.

"Hey Liara, remember when you could just slap Omni-gel on everything."  I laughed when I heard this line  took me back to ME1.

I always look forward to doing the "fluff" missions, like in ME1 where you help the parents decide to get the treatment or not. In ME2 I like Kasumi's loyalty misson because it has more "fluff" than shooting. I also like Overlord because Aite is so beautiful. Then there's the suicide mission which is great because of the feeling of intensity. I like a lot of the missions.

Edit: How could I forget LOTSB? I love the car scene, that was pure gold. I LOVE it. Also when you have to talk around so that the hostage is released, that was great because of the civillian interaction.

You knew the identity of the Shadow Broker before playing the DLC? I'm impressed! LOTSB has the car chase sequence (there's plenty of banter) and it introduces stasis. LotSB has two boss fights and you get the Shadow Broker terminals and videos.

Yes, it is the best Mass Effect DLC.

-Didn't know the SB identity because his entire race was made up just for the sole fact of SB's existence, whatever. Lame.
-I did however know Tela Vasir was the one after Liara the first time I saw her shifty eyes.
-Car chase sequence is a rollercoaster on rails. There's nothing "car chase' about it.
-the boss fights are as I said earlier, unremarkable with the exception of Vasir's being the only time we see an NPC use charge.
-The terminals which explore some of the side lore which was already a distraction from the main conflict of the series, and which the entire game was already about. Don't care.

Lair of the Shadow Broker is vastly, unbelievably overrated on BSN. Especially by Liara fans, which makes sense since it's the Liara fan service pack.

First Favorite

Honestly my favorite missions where landing on planets and exploring going specifically to those little icons on map and seeing whats there. I enjoyed those the most because each one was like x-mas opening of presents or kinder surprise eggs. Granted the planets mountains could of been better made smoother but it didn't change the fact I still enjoyed those landing on planet missions more than pretty much every other mission in both games. Especially the giant worm first time ever came across one on the planet in my beloved Mako, first time around that thing made me run for the hills asap and all you saw was a dust cloud in the shape of a Mako as I ran away so fast..

Second Favorite

But also the finding derelict spaceships and exploring those were my second favorite (kinda reminded me of my Genesis system Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday playing days), disable a ship and board it and explore occasionally the ships would have their own storyline once boarded but the fun was the exploration.

Third Favorite

The ending mission to ME1 with giant space battle raging was third best mainly because I love giant space battles.

I liked Arrival for the mech control gimmick and the "Shepard is unstoppable!" dialogues alone. :P

And really, when I noticed that the price was lower than LotSB, I lowered my expectations accordingly. I didn't expect the best DLC ever, which apparently everyone else did.

I had fun with it for what it was worth.
