Posted ImageOk so playing the legacy DLC with a rogue and malcolm's key is one dagger?
Um dual welding rogue here.
So now I have mismatched daggers like a common thug lovely.
Not to mention it is ugly as heck. as most as awful looking as the multi-class starter pack dlc.

yeah the design of the dlc weapon could have had more thought put into it. i didn't like the overall design of the weapon for any of my play throughs.

My opinion: dagger and staff look horrendous.

Bow looks awesome.

Swords have too-thick hilts, but other than that, they also look awesome.

Are there any mods to change the look of Hawke's Key yet?

My Hawke never used the mage Key except in cutscenes. :P No rune slots and definitely bulky.

Speaking of bulky - Can we change the weapon designs towards a more... delicated direction? A weapon doesn't need to have unnecessarily large proportions to look threatening. I couldn't see my Hawke's head when I equipped the Key bow. When there's a 'hide helmet' option and people use it, it means that they want to see the back of their protagonist's head while playing.

Just my two cents.

QFT.  When I saw my new staff, I was hoping my video card was just in its death throes.

And then there was the Regalia of Weisshaupt... which didn't look bad, as such, but it did make me feel like I was wearing stolen property, or at least something that definitely wasn't earned. I mean, I'm no Grey Warden, why am I dressing like one?

They are if you play the DLC in late Act 3, which I did... it made using them tempting.

Same here, mind you having 2 great meat cleavers hanging on my back wasn't much better I guess.  I would really like a set of the ones shown for rogue Hawke right at the beginning with the curved, double ended blades...

I think I might do Legacy early in the piece with my next playthrough so I don't mind shoving it in a chest, an option to hang it on the wall might be nice though...

I feel at home here. I've been complaining (ok my friends would say whining) about the look of the meat cleavers and the rogue Key quite a bit.

I too felt bad using the armor. Same reason I could never wear Templar armor or dress up in Chantry priest robes (seriously, guys?). I let it go on until I got the Champion chest-piece, but I felt kind of stupid (especially if you run into the Wardens and you're all decked out like a leader of the order).

The Key is one of the more ridiculous-looking items in the game. And in this game, that's saying a lot. I used it during the DLC, but I ditched it right after (maybe it would last a bit longer if it wasn't crap low-res textures like 90% of the other weapons).

I think my two-handed warrior will use the Key, though, as there just aren't that many weapons with special significance. The closest thing I can think of in the endgame is the Blade of Mercy. Mage Hawke has better luck with them; there's Malcolm's Honor, plus the Staff of Violation.

To something similar to these:

The lightning bow really is awesome. It has a mother of pearl inlay look on the quiver.

I guess I'm the only one who thought the Staff key looked fine. Posted Image

But I don't want some naked lady shaking her low-res boobies behind my head the whole game.

And now we have your dad's "Key", with his big ****** slapping your hair when you walk.

Funny and apt description,
I almost wonder if the people who make the weapon models have an "how bad can we make Hawke look contest"
I hated the look of the key weapons.

I was almost tempted to add this to my signature.

Maybe it's just me, but I never found the Staff of Violation that powerful. I keep sticking to Merathari's "Torch" with the Primeval rune and a fire one.

Seiously though, a staff of Violation which were supposed to look like a million penises in the original design, Malcom's Honor that has a giant naked lady on the top, Isabela's neckless that used to look like two d*cks in the original concept...

Who is doing these charcater designs? One innuendo is understanble. Two I can bear. But this is starting to get creepy.  Next thing we know, the end-game gear in the expansion has a boob for a helmet.Posted Image
