No, the SoV is intolerably weak. Luckily, I have a modded version that's better.

I think all the items looks horrible.. Thanks goodness they are NOT end game items.

They are if you play the DLC in late Act 3, which I did... it made using them tempting.

Same here, mind you having 2 great meat cleavers hanging on my back wasn't much better I guess.  I would really like a set of the ones shown for rogue Hawke right at the beginning with the curved, double ended blades...

I think I might do Legacy early in the piece with my next playthrough so I don't mind shoving it in a chest, an option to hang it on the wall might be nice though...

OMG, I hate the cleavers.  This can of Coke I'm drinking is closer to being a dagger than those things.  A dagger is, by definition, a small piercing weapon.  Usual DA daggers are more like short swords, and that's fine.  At least it's the same general idea.  The cleavers are a completely different kind of weapon though.  How do you stab with something shaped like a rectangle?!  Maddening!

That's one major reason I didn't buy the rogue item pack. And the warrior one doesn't have a two-handed weapon that levels up with me, so screw that as well.

You must be on PC since you modded the Staff of Penises, why not mod them too?  It's more about the new models and to a lesser extent codexes than anything.  Actually, if you're on a console and would like the easy button that PC players get via console and mods, I guess the grossly overpowered companion accessories is a big selling point too.

Actually, come to think of it, it might have one that levels with you.  I seem to recall that there were alternate versions of the weapons in the item packs that are only accessible via additem or vaddi console mods.  I know Malcolm's Honor had a couple alternate versions with fixed stats.  There's also a second set of compaion accessories.  I ran across one once using vaddi and it took me an hour to figure out where the item originated from, hehe...

There are good looking items in the game but sadly they are underpowered comparing to the end-game weapons. As an example, I can think of Absolution. However, it's extra rune slot pales in comparison to Jackal's Longbow's DPS... or the Key's.

My two handed warrior has been using The Empress' Point from the warrior item pack. He first equipped it at lv 17 and hasn't found anything better. It may not level with Hawke, but it doesn't need to. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/The_Empress's_Point

I am using a mod that level everything in the game with you ,so that's not an issue for me.

WHAT!? Nathaniel was supposed to take his place Posted Image, he was one of my fav characters.... I would have prefferred him much over sebastian.. (who gets annoying after a while).. They could aswell have him, Anders got in... also ser pounce a lot.... alot of those scrapped thing wouldve made the game more interesting to me... especially nathaniel (Sebas is a great character too though... but still Posted Image )

Mr. David Gaider, can you confirm that link please? :) Because if I recall correctly, it was written by a cosplayer who met you somewhere. I might be wrong. Bad memory is bad.

Let's hope a developer actually comes and reads a thread titled "Omg Legacy WTH"... It was originally posted on the Nathenial support group, so one of their members might have got a confirmation on the link already.

I think the most important of it is the bit on Orsino. He wasn't originally supposed to be incredibly retarded but they didn't want to bother writing a boss battle that made sense so they just copy and pasted the one for templars.

The good news is that in my own fanfiction, I can be totally justified in ignoring it.

I feel the same. Bioware need new artist who can really draw armor and weapon.

I fully expect Isabela and her Lady Hawke girlfriend will one day be able to dual wield "back massagers." To be more effective I'll have to disable the patch that cuts back on the explosions.

Who wants to bet that those will look like penis too, at least in the concept drawings?

This thread has made my day.

Thank you all.

At least, I'm not the only one who wondered about these things.

Now if we just got a toolset update, we could make an ending that doesn't suck...  I don't know why they had to use Orsino for that extra boss fight.  The veil is thin, they could've had a demon.  Or Cullen.

I had an idea of all the blood being spilled priming the sacrificial glyph and calling forth something dark...

Oh that's niiice.  Makes a lot of sense within the story and doesn't kill a character that might be back in DA3.

The only problem is that such a thing would likely be highly visually dramatic, and things like the whole city starting to glow red or Meredith transforming into a demon-lyrium-golem thing would rather detract from the previous eye candy of the Chantry explosion.

Pah.  If Bioware can get away with copy and pasting so much that 25 zones have exactly 4 different layouts, a user-made mod can certainly get away with copy and pasting the appearance of Hybris.  Or even Corypheus', though that would make it require Legacy and reduce the amount of people that can use it.

So it'd just be a pride demon?

Well, that could work if Meredith's supposed to be the real ultimate boss.
