Hey there, I've been enjoing playing through the campaign for M.E 2 but within the last few days had to reformat my PC. So I copied the whole Bioware folder (the folder containing my saves/configuration settings/ profile) to another hard drive.
I've reinstalled ME2 and copied across my folder, which seemed to have worked, I have all my saves/ profile etc back to normal, although when I went to start my next mission (the Jacob's father mission) I noticed that a lot of my attributes had disappeared. I no longer seemed to have 'Cryo ammo' or 'incinerate' or 'AI hacking' all powers that I had been slowly building up.
Is this due to the copying across of the game files, as I find it hard to believe that everything else would be working perfectly. I recently reaced the level 4 for the Stealth attribute (I'm playing as an infiltrator) and It gave me the two options to upgrade, to which I chose to have increased damaged when in stealth.
This is really annoying ! I also went back to an earlier save point, before I recruited the assassin and I seem to have all my powers (including incinerate/ ai hacking and Cyro ammo) but I don't want to have to go back that far if possible.
Thanks in advance for the help guys !
Achievements/Attributes disappeared ! Please Help

Sounds like a corrupted file on your save.
2 choices are to go back to the good clean file or use a gibbed editor and hope that there aren't any other corruptions in the file to trip you up.

^decent editor if you want to go that route.

I might try the modding route, is it simply a case of editing one of the game files to include the attribute I'd achieved?
That link sent me to quite a vague-ish explanation. But I'm willing to give it a try with just a little more direction !
thx

The best way is to start a new game, or use a very old save and just play around with the editor and see what you can do. It isn't hard, but you just have to read and think some before making changes. It is all pretty straight forward, but by all means make back-ups before you do any real changes.
